KySalesRep
I passed on some Ritt BIB, DSP-1 today. Priced at $28/bottle, that's a $3 increase over the DSP 354, and they still had a couple of DSP 354's on the shelf. I will probably get some, but not today. Yeti
It costs a lot of money to make a lot of really good, old whiskey.
Vosgar
I believe it was BourbonJoe who once said "you can buy good inexpensive bourbons, but you can't buy great inexpensive bourbons". Don't doubt the man

We can ask the next master distiller we meet "so how much are you asking for a gallon of your whiskey sir?"

Value is in the eye of the beholder. I'd never pay what I hear BX charges for things I like (GTS, WLW), but if I could pick both of those up retail whenever I wanted them for $70 - they'd replace several other bottles in the rotation

Over the past couple of months I have tried numerous bottles but when I compare a $20 bottle to a $75 bottle I just can't taste a $50 difference. MyOldKyDram
Sometimes I can, sometimes...The 4R SmB LEs for instance I generally feel are well worth the 40-50 premium over its reg counterpart. I'd be all too happy if more people came around to your way of thinking however! Edited September 12, 2013 by MyOldKyDram

Ive got some 4RSiB here, and i just cant drink it.
