mbroo5880i
I kinda wanna try the BOTM, the JW Dant.....but from all the jokes I've heard about it, I kinda expect it to fall into this category. Maybe that and Mellow Corn should be my next. I don't expect much from either, but maybe I'll be rewarded. Some of the board think Ten High is ok, so you never know until you try it. Good luck on your test in the a.m. Maybe you and your wife can celebrate with a burger and bourbon lunch!
smokinjoe
Picked up a bottle of WTRB for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and it's just giving me fits. Or probably more accurately put, my palate just can't draw a bead on this whiskey. Each time I pour it, it's "Bad", it's "Good", it's "Wretched", it's "meh", and tonight...it's "Fabulous". Really nice char filled, leathery, big WT flavor. Tomorrow??? Who the heck knows.

Not something I've bought again, though.I cant wait to see what the fat guy brings me for xmas!
suntour
You might be surprised at Mellow Corn. You seem to like the Heaven Hill house flavor. I love Mellow Corn myself. I'd always have it on hand if I could get it without driving 80 miles roundtrip.
wmpevans
My best friend was diagnosed with melanoma yesterday. Canceled work to be with him and cracked open a ORVW 23yo decanter. A toast to the fight and we will revisit after each milestone. Cant think of a better person to share it with. Great bourbon to ease a shitty situation. Love you and your family Trav.. timWhat an occasion and tribute to your friend to open such a grand bottle. You are truly a great friend. Good luck to your friend. Restaurant man
Regular four roses single. It's like a cherry cordial. If you don't have one open, go get one. It's delightful!
DrBob
A pour of J W Dant, then for contrast a pour of Charter 101. finished up with a couple of sips of Old Ezra 101. Think i preferred the Old Charter but not by much. Haven't really been able to fall in love with the Old Ezra, so the Dant gets a close second. Tony Santana
At the curling club last night, and as the night wore on the various whiskey drinkers began to congregate at our table, some bringing bottles of their own. I didn't have any of the Jameson that got polished off, but OF, VOB, ER and OWA were also consumed. All generally well received by those who were unfamiliar with some of the choices.
