Brisko
I believe 1792 Ridgemont Reserve is still 8 years old.Interesting that about a third of the list hails from Beam.
squire
Well, when you can crank out 1500 barrels a day there's a lot to choose from.

squire
I figure that's why the age statement was moved to the back label in the first place where it would be less noticeable by it's absence.

Flyfish
Buck Bourbon, I keep forgetting about that one. Born on the banks of Old Whiskey River where it grew a cool label and inflated price.
squire
Yes, a buddy of mine who's a big deer hunter brought one by my office for one of my tastings. Not bad as I recall, didn't take notes, my recollection is of a Heaven Hill product but I never made a direct comparison or even bought one because I thought it overpriced for a simple "theme" Bourbon. If so, in what states is it available?Definitely available in Ky and a nice alternative to W12. Even works well in the SB.blend.

mosugoji64
Updated to add Jeffers Creek. Has anyone actually tried this one? While it's only an 80-proofer, I think it's interesting in that it's 1.) age stated, and 2.) lists the barrels used in the batch on the label.Baker’s 7-yearBeam’s Choice 5-yearBig House 6-yearBooker’sBuck Bourbon 8-yearBulleit 10-yearEagle Rare 10-year Single BarrelElijah Craig 12-yearEvan Williams Single BarrelEzra Brooks 101 7-yearEzra Brooks 12-year Single BarrelFighting Cock 6-yearHeaven Hill 6-year BIBHenry McKenna 10-year Single BarrelJeffers Creek 6-yearJim Beam Black 8-yearJim Beam Distiller’s Series 7-yearJim Beam Signature Craft 12-YearKirkland (Costco) Bourbon 7-yearKnob Creek 9-yearKnob Creek Single Barrel 9-yearOld Charter 8-yearOld Medley 12-yearOld Taylor 6-yearVery Special Old Fitzgerald 12-yearVirgin Bourbon 7-yearWeller 12-yearWild Turkey Russell's Reserve 10-year

Also how about Old Ezra 7 yr. oldDoes the neck label say "aged 6 years" or does it just have a 6??. mosugoji64
Should ECBP be included? It states 12 years on the back label. While that one is age stated, I didn't include it on the list because it's not a regular, everyday release. It's not an annual release, but only available periodically in limited quantities. If everyone thinks it's regular enough to be included let me know and I'll add it. RocknRoll
Updated to add Jeffers Creek. Has anyone actually tried this one? Me!! :grin:My local store started stocking it a while ago. Tried it and decided it was decent. I've been keeping it on hand and using it as my "go to" for when I'm in one of those "too lazy to work my brain to decide what I want" moods.
