Lost a store select FR OESK today. Was surprised I didn't like it as much as I love the OBSK, but was still very nice.

Finishing a GS 4R OESO while watching the Panthers and Hawks play for the NFC South

It may as well have been the Hawks. Mike Smith may (should) be looking for a new job.

if we keep talking this label up, people will catch on and we will have trouble getting it.......shhhh!

No, please keep sharing. Most of what I try is based on this forum's knowledge. Please don't leave me with unknowns. It's going to be like trying beer and buying garbage for years all over again. :(

I think Pigeons would a be a more apt description. It would have been embarrassing if I wasn't used to the Pigeons crapping all over themselves for years (And Smith is already on the dole).

It was a store pick KCSB that met a similar fate as the Pigeons yesterday for me. The KCSB was far more satisfying...

WLW '13 emptied. Drank it down to the last 1" or so over Christmas w family. The last bit went into my SB Blend decanter which has become kind of a Solara blend.

Three good bottles hitting the bin. Going to keep the Stagg '13 bottle as it was my first ever high end bottle.fe68ddc34d9ef9553695e9f6f09e967d.jpg

Finished off a Four Roses (Crown) OBSK. This one was the 2014 SF Competition Whiskey of the Year. While I enjoyed this bourbon and "B" recipe in general, I believe I enjoy its "sister" recipe (OESK) from the same time period a little bit more. I actually parsed out the final 5 ounces for samples for a couple of friends. They are limited but enthusiastic in their bourbon journey so I try to share special pours, either when they come over or when a bottle they haven't tried gets low.

I've been nursing this for a while with only one left in the bunker. I sure hope some of that Weller 12 shows up in my neck of the woods soon!
