ETL may have got a bump this week when it was shown not once, but twice, on Justified.

i noticed that both Boyd and Raylan were drinking ETL on the last episode.

If anyone is passing through north mississippi i can point you at about 5 cases. Memphis also has plenty, although its 40 a bottle there.

I was at BT back in February and they were bottling the ETL commemorative that day as were. Hoping I may be able to find a bottle or two.

Am I the only one horrified by this picture? Good god don't let those boxes tip over!

I think those are the empty boxes waiting to be filled. Hence being upside down.

Whew! I wonder if this will be specially allocated or just straight up replace standard ETL orders.

Anyone stop to wonder if the new ETL Commemorative bottling could be at least a partial cause for the ETL shortage we seem to be in now? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.

Just saw this on A Dram Good Time. Sazerac is releasing a special ETL commemorative bottling at 93 proof (the age ETL was when he passed away) and a memorial tribute label.

http://dramgoodtime.com/2014/04/03/buffalo-trace-distillery-releases-elmer-t-lee-commemorative-edition-bourbon/

The article states:

Selected from the same warehouse floors which Elmer liked to find his “honey†barrels for his namesake bourbon, the commemorative edition is packaged in the same square bottle as the standard Elmer T. Lee, but with an upscale black label with gold embossed lettering bearing Elmer’s signature. His distinctive profile adorns the front of the label while the back label details of Elmer’s life and his legacy.

Presuming that they'll continue to bottle ETL from Mashbill #2. Hoping, anyway.

I am definitely looking forward to this one, especially if it is actually available for $34.99.

Money apparently goes to Mr. Lees old VFW. That's pretty great.

According to the press release, the one-time limited commemorative bottling of Elmer T. Lee Bourbon will start arriving in stores this April. Suggested retail pricing is $34.99. Production of the standard Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon will continue as barrels come of age and are deemed worthy of Elmer and his legacy, Buffalo Trace said. - See more at: http://fredminnick.com/buffalo-trace-announces-elmer-t-lee-commemorative-edition-bourbon/#sthash.scpvwbEa.dpuf

Great news.

Now I can't wait to shame the flippers on BX if they're not donating their profits too.

So....nothing special about the bourbon itself? Basically, just a different label on the bottle?

Just a proof change from 90 to 93.

I highly doubt mine will be $34.99 but will jump for joy if it is

I just saw this press release on gobourbon.com. The ETL Commemorative bottle will be available this month (April). Packaging is similar to the standard bottle, but with more black accents, as well as the one-time proof boost to 93 proof.

But somehow, I feel actual retail price will be above the suggested retail price of $34.99 in many regions that don't have ABC price controls.

(well, actually Ive seen the older one, but thought this was new thread-worthy by comparison, until I saw this same info was posted there too).
