It be great if everyone would PM exact bottle locations of every flippin limited bottle preferably in real time. This way nobody gets nothing except the flipper crowd. Wow! I can't say what is a fair price in Texas because that is up to bourbon enthusiasts in that state. I did see a couple of bottles in Indiana this week for $32.99 and a fair supply in another part of Indiana last weekend at $29.99.

I don't get the sarcasm, Kevin. It's an unspoken "rule" to not publicly post locations so you're not inadvertently pointing flippers to the locations that have a particular bottle in stock...particularly LE's.

Cool. The store I frequent didn't know about the release but gave me a heads up that the regular ETL hit. They're usually good about getting some allocated stuff so I figured maybe there is a very small market for ETL in the Bay Area so the ETLCs didn't make it to California. If I saw it in the store for $36 I'd buy it, but I'm not interested enough to ask the stores I visit to see if they have any or received their shipment. I did read good things about the 93 proof but I get a feeling that a good bottle of FRSB will make me just as happy.

I'm not sure what the point of your post(s) is, unless you think this is turning into a Facebook-ish flipper's discussion.

For me, ETL was just about my favorite regular pour. Now that it's disappeared from shelves, I'm glad to know when/if either the standard or commemorative are located in my neck of the woods, provided it's not marked up to a ridiculous price.

I think most people reading this here are of the same mind.

And a good thought Bruce. But if the town/area is small enough even the above might be too much. Just the reality of, who doesn't use the internet, and what's going on in whiskey world. Even members only threads, doesn't automatically make you a good guy-gal either...though most are :grin:.

I am with Thad and Bruce here(and Kevin:cool:). Use this Members only thread-or the "Help a Member Find A Bottle" for generalities and take the specifics to PMs. Can't totally guard against flippers but that's the best we can do and yet still provide the enthusiast community with some helpful info. Of course if you have said info you can limit the PM specifics to someone you"know" on here or with a post count track record.

I just called the Total Wine in Atlanta and spoke to Rich Sores, he says they'll have another shipment of ETLC in the coming weeks. I'm also the third person on the waiting list for pappy so I put your name (RM) as the 4th so we'll get hooked up for sure! Rich said just call in and ask for him, although his co-workers call him Dick. As for Michters, no go for the 10 year rye or the 10 year bourbon but he can get the 20 year at a great price! I'll definitely be buying a first class ticket to Atlanta to pick up my bottle of ETLC. Hope to see you around and I can even share a pour with you :) Check out Cellar 13 too when you get the chance!

I actually loved this post. Made me chuckle in my bourbon. ???

Picked up my bottles that were on hold and opened one right up.

It's much better than I thought actually and definitely not thin like ETL. First impression only. Liking it much more than ETL.
