Tonight is the NCAA Championship game. Very anxious but hopeful UK can pull off another win. PVW 15 to ease my nerves.

I started with some ER10. Was really enjoying it so I thought to step it up with some Stagg. Bad idea. I just can't handle it. I like Booker's, ECBP, and so forth but 70%+ alcohol is just too much for me. I hate to have to water things down, so I poured some ER17 in and made it infinitely better. I should of started with this and then go to the ER10, but ah well. Finishing the night now with some BT. I think I am done with this mash-bill for awhile. All in a night...

New bottle of KnobCreek SB at 60%. Let it sit in the glass with a splash of water for around an hour. Excellent, takes away some of the dominant oak and makes it a much more balanced sip.

Unfortunately I don't have any of that, but some 2012 LE SmB is working just fine

Having a couple pours of WT80 brown label with a couple cubes of ice. Really enjoyable with the ice cubes. Brings out certain flavors that are not as pronounced without ice.

Man is the ER17 a beautiful thing. One of the smoking Joe's (I can't remember which one) talks about how BT Mashbill #1 is right in his wheelhouse and I have to say it's the same for me. This 17yr expression is so buttery smooth and well rounded. Very much an easy drinker.

2013 4R LE SmB then SB again tonight. Had a SB blend in between. All very nice!

I really like the SB!! I had thought I'm more a SmB guy but 2013, I am enjoying the SB more. The taste profile and finish is much nicer. There is a sweet balance on this that is well rounded and very pleasant.

Quite a few last night. Did a abs with Michter's US1 which i didn't really do anything for me when i bought it a few months ago. fruity nose and an astringent after taste. Michter's 10, I was really impressed with the nose. Unfortunately thats where I stopped being impressed. Definitely better than the US1 but definitely not worth the cash. I'm going to give it some time and try again later. I thought after maybe a week of GTS nightly pours my expectations have been artificially heightened but then went to my stand by Parker's POH and it was phenomenal like usual, so idk.

Also had some Smooth Ambler Old Scout 10yr. Good stuff. Did not blow me away at first but definitely got better the more I drank it. Definitely did not find any dislikes in it.

Then I finished the night with a pour of Booker's 25th. Great Pour.

Yellow Stone Mellow Mash 7 yr. to finish things off. A wonderful mixture of caramel and cured pipe tobacco, with that old timey rumminess/raisiny thing going on. Beautiful stuff.
