bourbonfoot
Some ECBP batch 1. A fair pour of that can last me all night.

kjbeggs
Well, I had intended to take a night off from this "hobby", as I've been enjoying it quite a bit the past two nights. However, my increasingly frustrating workday has me seriously reconsidering that decision. Now I just need to decide who to commiserate with, Colonel Taylor or Mister Noe perphaps, (seeing as Elijah and Elmer continue to be absent). TunnelTiger
Know the feeling. After taking off three days and over 100 work emails I really dread Monday. My goal right now is to avoid going off on everyone and surviving until 5:00 pm when my "happy hours" beginSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

smokinjoe
Wing joint this afternoon wit da fellas, for some beers. Now, salmon on the grill for me and burger on the grill for the Sheltie, with the last pour of an 04 EWSB. I have destroyed this bottle very quickly, and am already itchy nervous about getting its replacement as soon as possible.
MrAtomic
I overpaid for the first bottle I'd ever seen of ECBP, because it inevitably showed up at the most extortionate liquor shop in town. But now that I'm back home and drinking it, I really don't care about the price. This is great stuff. Drinkable neat, but a whole lot friendlier with a bit of water. I'm about to try cutting it 1:1 with some Henry McKenna BIB (I don't have any standard EC in the house).

T Comp
Can a person have too many OWAs open and willing? I don't think so . Tasting through 3 tonight, two different private single barrel picks and the first retail release of the new bottle-label from circa 2011.Post your thoughts on the side-by-side. I'm with you Thad. I have at least 4 or 5 bottles of OWA open right now...I think I'll take a little nip out of one...The private barrel at 7.4 years and regular release 2011-bottled 153rd day , are awfully close in nose and taste. Both with healthy amounts of vanilla. After the vanilla the PB has more molasses and pipe tobacco. The retail (and this was I believe the acclaimed first retail release of the nas in the new W 12 bottle type) had less of that but more worcestershire-celery salt notes (no not tomato juice) that I also get in the post SW age stated paper label OWAs. The other PB was a 6.5 age pick and a sugar bomb extraordinare with less complexity but as worthy as a big old hunk of delicious cotton candy.Tonight it's OGD 114 with a few slivers of crushed ice...so far. Paddy
Couldn't decide between bourbon or rye, so I went with three fingers of ETL on a cube.
theglobalguy
HMcK BIB and then some Wisers Legacy. If you'd poured blind, I don't think I'd have spotted it against Lot 40. Just a great rich CDN profile, with a great sort of sawdust finish.
garbanzobean
A nice fat pour of OFBB '13. This pour really benefits from some water. The heavenly nose remains, but the water "unpacks" some densely stacked flavors that were hiding behind vanilla, brown sugar, and tannins--fudge and caramel, with a treacle-like finish. Finishes with very mild oak.

tigerlam92
I poured meself some Old Rip Van Winkle 10/107 and the beads lasted a long time, big ones to.Keeping in same company,ECBP 4th then current ORVW 10/107 (neat) then ECBP 4th again, for now. The ORVW nose is fantastic and both are great. Tonight the ORVW is really nice, it was a wow. Maybe the air time helped since it's been a while now and at the final third.Edit: starting on a nice pour of PVW 20 from 09, neat. Fantastic, very refined and balanced.
