Not bourbon but a George Dickel 12 followed by rye here at the hotel bar in Tampa.

Had a WLW with a splash of water last night. Simply delicious and very enjoyable. Just a small pour of the latest EWSB to follow that up - I'm still trying to figure the 2004 batch out, not in love with it, but perhaps having it after the WLW was an unfair disadvantage.

Some WFE 11yr 121.6 proof. Not one of my favs from them (bit too sharp and woody), but a nice departure.

BT experimental Wheater 125, then some Hooker's House. Now trying to figure out what pairs well with chicken parm.

OWA seems as good as any. Have some Weller12 on the way, can't wait to try esquire's new mix! ;-)

Decided on a small pour of WTRB tonight. This is drinking VERY nicely. Making me rethink how often I have at WT product.

After fighting a beaver at work today and painting some at home tonight, I decided to treat myself to a

mid-week pour, EC12/EC18 blend. The EC18 makes it a little woody but the EC12 lightens it some. Nice flavor and a little bit of spice.

Very Young Beaver or Very Old Beaver?

Had to ask....

Watching a friends son, as he is pitching for the Ranger's, with a little SB blend in my glass. What a proud moment it must be for a father to see his son reach the pinnacle of his craft, as a starting ML pitcher!

All is well with the world.

Wow, that is pretty cool. I live close to Brownsburg, Indiana. They had a really great Little League team in the early 2000's. They won the LL World Series. Several of those kids now play in the majors...Lance Lynn, Drew Storen.

Unfortunately, the beaver is of the wildlife variety. It keeps building a dam downstream of our plant. We trapped one beaver last fall and tore down the dam. Now, the dam is back. Back to the drawing board. Also, back to the cupboard, following up my EC pour with some Smooth Ambler, 6 year.

Just had some Very Old Barton BIB 6 year. Wow! What a great pour. First time having it. It's not sold in stores around here (that I've ever seen) but the bar around the corner from my office has it and I made a point to try it tonight as it's a favorite value pour for many of you here.

The six year old is a very good value. Unfortunately it's being discontinued for a lesser age version so check the label carefully to make sure it is six years old rather than just a big ole honkin 6 sitting up there for all the World to see.

Excellent point. I remember this discussion from a previous thread recently. I did not ask to scrutinize the bottle, but will next time. If I had to guess, I'd guess it's the 6 year age stated. This place has a huge selection so I guess they don't move through this quickly. This is the place that still has Eagle Rare 101 on hand. I asked about it tonight and they told me they still have 10 bottles or so in the back. You know which bottles on the shelf tend to be the emptiest? The local craft distiller bottles. No surprise in this city (Seattle).

Couldn't help but go there after the yesterdays adventures hereabouts!

A beaver is a most productive little critter....plant a tree near that body of water and it would be felled and put to their use in no time!

Lexington is considered basketball country, but really it's a baseball town. In this Rangers/Phillies game, the Philly centerfielder is also a homer.

It took me a long time to come back after the '94 strike cost the Bravos the series (IMO), but I do love baseball.

Having some Russell's Reserve Small Batch 10-year that I bought today. I haven't been too impressed with this, considering how much I like Wild Turkey products.

Did a blind side by side of OWA and OGD114 with the 114 coming out strong

Very different bourbons. Both delicious.

A nice vatting of OBSQ (very woody)/ OESV (way more spice than a E has a right to) and some YL for some sweetness and to lower the proof without adding water, making a very tasty pour, the sum far exceeding the parts.
