HD 335
Anybody happen to order/open the new D&M Wine-selected OESO? I don't have a bottling of either O variant and was curious on this one.I bought one a couple of weeks ago but haven't opened it yet. D&M also carries a /r/bourbon OBSK 9 year 3 month 117.4 proof as well. Any other Bay Area folk here shop at Bevmo? I've been looking for their OBSK pick and one member from the Los Angeles area mentioned some stores have that recipe. Unfortunately those stores are to far for a friend in Southern California to help me pick up a bottle. I ended up finding one lone bottle today, however the cashier might not have been careful when he put it in the bag and somehow caused a small crack at the bottom of bottle. I didn't noticed until 30 minutes later that the bag was starting to get wet and then I saw the crack. Pretty disappointed that I had to return it, did not want to take a chance that any small pieces of glass might be in the whiskey. But all was not lost today... stumbled upon another bottle of 2013 Limited Edition Small Batch for $100. After finishing my last bottle and only having one more in the bunker, I planned to open last one for a special occasion. Now having three stashed away, I'll be opening one in the next couple of months. Hopefully my co-worker's buddy will me pick up 2 more bottles in the UK. They're a bit more expensive but this is hands down my favorite pour.
bananaslug
It would be nice if BevMo listed the recipe online, instead of a general "Private Selection X amount of bottles." I would also buy a lot more if they were $55 instead of $70.

BrooklynBorbone
I can't get enough of the stuff. Whenever I see a 4R Private selection I buy it (provided I don't already have it, but even then, sometimes I'll buy it). The nuanced differences in the 10 recipes sells it for me, and the fact that even the same recipe can have differences in taste based on age and some might argue filtration, as well as the seasons and location in the rickhouse. In fact, I'll be real curious to see how this past BITTER cold winter and HOT summer will impact stuff bottled moving forward. Here's a shot of my collection (so far): and what's open now in terms of private selections:

Quintilian
FRSmB is one of my favorites. I dig the mix of spice and floral notes. FR Yellow Label is good too, but I wish they offered a FRBiB. Regular FR just seems watered down.
Quantum
The Four Roses Single Barrel is 100 proof, and essentially a BiB. It has been one of my favorites for a while.

Westernboys
I like all the 4 Roses. I think that if the yellow label was bumped up to 86 or even 90 proof it would be great.
TunnelTiger
Here's a second for moving the 4RLB to 90. When I first started my Bourbon journey it was one of my favorites but the last two bottles it just too tame for my current taste.

Paddy
I nominate Oscar for cult "Big Chief". Really.... a thing of beauty!I had a taste of one of those green label (Seagram's) Friday night. Oscar, can you date the bottle? I think it is a single barrel 86 proof?
Old Dusty
Oscar, thought you might chime in here. Really nice effort on the stash. You or Bob or Dan probably take the FR Crown on this site. Not sure who wins but I volunteer to judge if samples are provided:grin:

Ok, not likely, but it would still be great!

Old Dusty
I would say that honor goes to either Bob or Oscar! Thanks for the pics, Oscar, that's a great looking collection you have. I will have to break out all my bottles one day and have Yeti (Josh) come down to take some pics. Maybe a tasting will be in order, but only if you come too Eric!
