What Bourbon did you purchase today? Summer 2014

After many attempts, I finally tracked down a bottle of the Willett 10yr barrel #2070. A group of us tried this at a restaurant in Bardstown back in April for the Sampler. I thought it was absolutely fantastic and have been on the hunt for one ever ever since.

I tried this side by side with the 8yr sister bottle and thought this 10yr blew it out of the water. Happy to have one to call my own.

Found this guy on the shelf, no idea of how old the bottle is, but I'm guessing early 90s/late 80s. Hopefully someone with a little more "experience" can chime in. For 12 bucks, it will be fun to have a try.

Another bottle of ECBP batch 5. This was the last bottle in the store and oddly they increase the price by $3. I think I bought 5 from there over the course of the month. Since no one claimed them, I'll don't mind bunkering more of my go to pours.

Bulleit Bourbon. First time I bought a bottle. I drink it in bars from time to time and decided it deserved a place on my shelf.

While in the store, I saw a Jeff Reserve Very Old KSBW. I had passed on the non-Kentucky version I've seen in the past, but since it was the last one and not sure if I'd ever see another from KY, I bought it for $52.

It's batch 122. Is there any list of "better" batches?

spent the past week in Nw Ga/ Chattanooga. Found a VOB BIB family size and ECBP. I dont believe either of these live in FL, so I bought the VOB and 2x ECBP. Looking forward to opening them.

Local store's Four Roses SB - 8yr, 7mo OBSV. Tastes good and a good price ($39.99). May have to go back and get another bottle or two

The funny thing is that I had been eyeing it a lot just before it started getting "talked up", as I have been seeing more of it around here lately than usual. I ended up selecting it and letting the SAOS 10 go. It also didn't hurt that the bakers was $12 less than the OS.

Two (2) 750 ml ER10 SB (10 yrs on neckband & Single Barrel on neckband and front label) and one ER10 with stars on the neckband and no SB designation. I have an open 375ml ER10 SB (10 yrs & Single Barrel on neckband) for a SBS with the star bottle.

Found this bottle of Single Oak Project #145 at a local ABC. They trickle in slowly, says the manager. I've heard they are hit or miss. According to a quick internet search, #145 is more likely a hit. We'll see...

CEHT BP for $65. Couldn't decide between Baby Saz or RITT BIB at $23.99 for each. I've never tried straight rye before, but I do like high rye mashbills. Any preference on which or should I just get both cause they seem like decent prices.

I prefer the Sazerac, but you might want to judge it on which one you think is harder to find or will be gone off the shelves sooner. Around here that would be the Sazerac. Most BT products are on allocation at this point, but it depends on your location.
