I prefer the Sazerac, but you might want to judge it on which one you think is harder to find or will be gone off the shelves sooner. Around here that would be the Sazerac. Most BT products are on allocation at this point, but it depends on your location.

I see these in every store where I live and it seems these bottles don't move much. Where I live must get all the allocation or people don't drink bourbon here. Shelves are never empty of BT products around here. I'll just get both and decide which I like best; surely that can't hurt anything. Sorry liver.

Had a good week, Wednesday I took delivery of 3 4R1B 2014 LE.

I was hesitant to get any because of the F herbal yeast. I tasted one once and did not like it.

As it turns out I love this bottle. It is Mariage/Small Batch LE-esque.

Yesterday I zipped down to KY and got a 2 4R OESQ, 1 OESF & 1 4R1B, all gift shop Mr Rutledge selections.

1 OESV Liquor Barn selection & 1 4R1B Gallenstein selection.

The Turkey hunt was good too.

1 Diamond Anniversary & 1 Rye 101.

2 Rare Breed 112.8prf. These are not in MI yet or at least not in my area.

Glad to get these after tasting it because it is the best Turkey to hit the shelves in years.

The last couple of Rare Breeds I had were hard to drink but this new 112.8 batch and perhaps being bottled at the distillery instead of being tanked to Arkansas has made a difference.

1 WT Kentucky Spirit bottled June 19, 2014. This too should have been bottled on site.

The last few years I have been getting one Kentucky Spirit bottled in that year to compare progress since this too has been suffering in recent years.

Can't wait to try it.

And bringing up the rear, 1 bottle Old Forester Single Barrel.

Oscar, after seeing your WT collection, I take your comments very seriously. Now I will be on the lookout for the newer Rare Breed. In Indiana we have plenty of the 108 on shelves. I may be in Bloomington next week. I know a place that moves a lot of inventory to check.

Yeah, looking at all those bottles it looks like the biggest dent was made in the Rare Bread and FR SBLE 14. I haven't seen any 112 in the Indy area either.

Thanx 4 the compliment but remember I only said that it's the best in years, it doesn't have that young green taste but it's a bit hot.

I cut it down with some spring water and it's nice.

For those of us in or near Virginia, the WTRB 112 is on the shelf in some Virginia ABC stores. The 108 is there, too. Both 750s and 375s can be found, but not all stores have both (or, at least, the three I went into didn't). Both are $40 for the 750, $21.45 for the 375. In one store, they were side by side; in the others, they were intermixed so be sure to check the necks.

Because I already have a couple 108s, I did pick up a 750 112 but haven't opened it. Thanks, Oscar, for the comments. I'll be sure to keep some water nearby. Oh, and thanks again for Doug Fister.

:hot:,..........but at least starting pitching isn't the Tigers problem.

I am having some of the 2014 Kentucky Spirit.

Don't want to finalize any opinions yet but so far it is encouraging.

EWSB '04 barrel #659. This one is a full-on hit of the HH profile and I'm loving it!

Couple of Binny's newest 4R picks: OBSO [10 yr, 6 mo @ 60.4%] and OESO [11 yr, 7 mo @ 57.2%].

I knew their website listings were not updated from the old wave of bottlings. Proofs were completely wrong. New OBSV is around 57% instead of 62%.

Store close to the office having a 25% off "Lost our Lease" sale.

Most stuff was packed up, but managed to grab a 1.75L Larceny for $30.00, and a bottle of Campari for under $20.

I've been out of town/too busy to post lately, so my new purchases have actually been spread out over the past 10 days or so. Not all bourbon, either, but so be it. Grabbed an Old Medley and a Thirteenth Colony Southern Rye while in Georgia - never see either one around here, the 13th Colony was unknown to me, bought it more as a novelty than anything else, but I find it to be a decent, flavorful rye. Then I made a quick stop at the grocery store this weekend with my wife - she asked if I was going into the attached liquor store, I reckoned that I was, and she said she'd come with me just to be sure I didn't buy too much. That backfired on her - I probably wouldn't have gotten anything on my own, but while perusing the aisles I mentioned that I almost never see Town Branch around here (just 2 bottles on the shelf) and she encouraged me to buy it, as well as a Jack Daniels Single Barrel that I commented was at a good price. I found the latter to be surprisingly good and a definite step up from Old No. 7.

2 bottles of LSB 13yo Rye. I actually bought the first a couple days ago for $70 bucks. Even though that is a very good price, I wanted to try it first. Overall, it is fantastic. Went back for a second one. This is a unique and fun addition to my collection.
