2 barrels of four roses. OBSO and OBSF. 4/5 went to members of the selection team. 4R sent custom labels for them to attach. There will be Some mighty happy Xmas gift recipients.

The 6 cases left will go on sale bourbon festival week. 11 year old OBSF at a whopping 126.8 proof.

4 X OWA private selection. Not sure what the exact age is but store claims it is just over 7 years. Glad to see OWA has been showing up around the Baltimore area again lately.

Wow, 126.8 proof. That bourbon must be a spice bomb! I love the "B" recipe. The OBSF sounds like a great selection!

You GBS guys are living the good life! I couldn't tell from Petrel's photo but it looks like more than one recipe? Just curious, which one did the goat prefer?

 Of course, we know Gonzo has had his nose in some strange places (yes, I saw a picture or two).

We snagged an OBSK and an OESO barrel. The OBSK was our first place pick (and the first place pick of Jim Rutledge who played along with us). It is 9 yrs, 5 months and 118.2 proof; the OESO is 11 yrs, 5 months and 114 proof. Both very nice picks! Props to Restaurant Man for making the second barrel pick possible!

Wow - hope we do make it up for KBF and can swing by E-town; that sounds like a great pick!!

I am in Lexington for the weekend and so far have had a very productive trip:

Party Source SAOS 8 year Barrel Proof Rye

Party Source OBSK

Bernheim

Old Forester Signature

Rhetoric

Rittenhouse BIB

Willett 2 year Rye.

Visiting the Willett distillery and a fee more stores. Hoping to continue my luck. (Feels like luck, but its really just shopping outside Ohio)

post-8428-14489821231478_thumb.jpgPicked up a VW Lot B from my favorite Liquor Store manager who always takes great care of me. Not sure where they found it this late in the year, but loyalty at a good store pays dividends.

Recent purchase:

Elijah Craig 12

Larceny

Four Roses Small Batch

These were all on sale, plus I had a $10 store coupon. All of these are new to me ... so I wonder if I can put 'em under "Education expenses".

EWSB and ETL commemorative.

The latter was quite unexpected, but happily accepted when offered.

Again, the dividends pay off nicely when you make friends with your local whiskey monger.

Grabbed a bottle of EC12 and a bottle of Old Overholt. EC is one of my personal favorites, and I've never tried OO.

Solid day for the credit card. Continuing the journey so all of these are new to me. Picked up Baker's, Rock Hill Farm, Noah's Mill, and Baby Saz.
