Any chance that someone could put this in some sort of spreadsheet form? I think inputting pricing from lowest to highest would be a good start. Maybe, include location of of pricing seen, along with applicable sales tax (and any other applicable tax) rate for area, and date price was seen?

I've been thinking about doing this actually. Putting this together in a real site with that tied into mapping, and driven by people (and maybe shops who want to advertise their low prices), be able to find the lowest price for whatever bourbon that is within X miles of your house.

Give me about a month or so to come up for air on a few projects and I might just put in a weekend to do it.

Thats a possibility I guess, probably best left for economics discussion, but doesn't every control state with inventory have this already and we have the hoarder problem everywhere?

Not defending the idea at all, just an off the cuff thing I could build pretty quickly with a lot of the code I have laying around.

Personally I think that is BS. My local guy got a very low yield barrel for a FR private selection and out of fear I asked how high the price would be as a result he said no worries, it was sold to him per bottle.

At a local super liquor store they removed ETLee (still just $33) from the mainline and put it in the locked "high end" glass case. Good grief.

Well, it is a good business decision, everybody knows putting in the case automatically increases the price 20%.

I don't feel like opening mine. As far as I know, it's not too much diff from the regular one, it's nice to have a full bottle as a tribute to Elmer.

Not to make this a competition for worst ETL pricing, but I was hitting the smaller liquor stores today, looking for BTAC around San Diego State University (hoping that the college kids would be more interested in cheap booze). Came upon ETL for $89.99, and ETLC for $169.99. Um, yeah, needless to say, I left empty-handed.

Makes you wonder if those are intentional lies or just innocent ignorance. Both are intolerable to come from a store. Just as annoying is that if you did correct that person, it's very likely they'd refuse to admit an error.
