i keep spare WT101 corks handy, because Booker's corks will always break halfway through the bottle, and the WT101 corks fit perfectly.

That's a great idea. Even so, I have consumed more than my share of Booker's with never a cork issue. I must be one lucky fellow because wine corks crumble on occasion (10+YO wines) but very rarely have a bourbon cork fail.

Thats good info on the WT corks. But, I'm still a screw cap fan.

Thats funny because I find old bottles of WT101 to have some of the most unreliable corks going around! But I am talking about older label bottles here

I bought a bottle online for $39. I was floored and/happy. Even with the shipping it's $15 cheaper than here.

Love Booker's. I'm pretty much done with the hunting of BTAC, as Stagg used to be a favorite of mine. These days I haven't the energy and for about half the price and 1/100th of the hassle, Booker's is a much better deal than Stagg, in my humblest of opinions.

In Texas, April - May, $90-$94. Your area had a delayed release (label rules was the rumor I heard) so maybe you have a better chance of finding it.

I found it, but the store wanted $130. Anyone taste the Ammiversary Bookers?

I have the anniversary, and find it to be quite a bit better than the standard bookers. Seems more intense, more wood and oily. Idk if it's worth the pricetag, but I'm glad I got it. Neat with a splash of room temp water!

Booker's price just increased from 45 to 51 in my area, stores have it as high as 70. I have a few bottles of 130+ proof that is superb.

This spring I paid online between 33 and 35 for a bottle, a bargain but at 50-70 it's a little steep for a daily sipper.

By the same token 12YO, 86 proof, used cask scotch prices are much higher but we pay them.

I always have an open bottle of Booker's on the shelf. I feel there is a huge hole in my collection if I don't. There is nothing worse than longing for a Booker's pour without any of the juice on hand. For me, it embodies everything I love about bourbon. Big, bold, syrupy sweet, with balanced oak char. The intensity of flavors is simply outstanding. And lets not forget the mouth feel. Pure liquid silk.

Well, actually, a lot of us don't. Besides, I'd be glad to pay 45 to 51 in a state where it goes for 63. (Which is why I never buy it in this state.)

I like Bookers a lot but have only had one bottle for myself. I like ordering it at bars, restaurants & casinos. I really should pick one up now that I'm thinking about it

I would enjoy it more if we had it for the same price as Minnesota. I have never figured out why it is so much cheaper there. Anyway, there is a fair amount of competition in the $50 price range. Not as much at $40.

Texas has it even cheaper. They also have weller owa & weller 12 all over the place. They are blessed by the bourbon gods.

It is quite simply the smoothest and most flavorful high proof bourbon I've ever had

Have 5 regular in the bunker and 3 25th, had four but gave one to a bourbon loving coworker.

I love the smooth oily viscosity and chewiness of it. I would love to see it at 10 to 15 years old!

I can confirm that Bookers is available for less than 40 around here. And there are some stores that still have OWA, but I've not seen Weller 12 in many months.

OWA is common in minneapolis now....too bad it's $27 instead of $18 like 3-4 years ago.
