393foureyedfox
FINALLY finished off the EC12 store pick. store pick or not, its gonna be quite some time before I buy another. I think HH bourbon lends itself better to higher proof and lower age than that

Richnimrod
Haven't started yet; but will be pouring from a '175' of a barrel selected Buffalo Trace that is just superb! So tasty, yet easy drinking. :yum: And, at the usual 90-proof, it's one that my guests for the afternoon/evening Super-get-together, as well as myself, will be able to pour more than a few, and still be able to function.... at least that's the story I'll be telling about it. HA!We'll have a good, long time to enjoy the 'Trace at a leisurely pace, along with the game when it eventually does begin. Cheers!

Special Reserve
A little pour of WLW 125.3 this morning before coffee. WOW an explosion of taste in my mouth. I should do this more often. It's a good thing the bottle was just recently opened.Joe,The WLW 07 is killer! Perhaps my favorite WLW. I probably had my nice little pour about 0730. Can't do this unless you are planning to hang around the house all morning. Will
flahute
Last night (and the previous evening as well) I enjoyed some scrumptious pours of Weller 12. I was able to pour a little more freely because of the two bottles I picked up recently. I absolutely love this stuff. Moved on to some MM Cask Strength and then RHF to finish out the evening......or so I thought. Was eventually tempted by the WT Diamond Anniversary. First pour of that one, inconclusive. dcbt
Been trying to power through some OGD114 lately to clear the room for something else. I kept reading all the hubbub here about it, tried it, and I don't get it. Oh well, more for you guys.
jackthedog
Just cracked open a bottle of EHTBP to celebrate a new job. It's really very good and opened up nicely after sitting for 15 minutes. It's so smooth I'd be hard pressed to tell you it's 129 proof.

AaronWF
Popped a 2014 GTS last night. Quite good. Had the same cherry wood notes I got from the 2013 but was much more complex on the back end. Followed that with a 10yo SAOS, some ECBP batch 5 and some 1B OWA. Ah, also threw a little OGD 114 in there somewhere. Good times...

kcgumbohead
Some of the last of my treasured OBSO GS 4R, damn this is stellar bourbon, as I toast the equally stellar Patriots on their quest for #4!! chooch714
OK, so I opened the Walking Stick. Nice nose and taste heavy with caramel and vanilla. To my palate a BT profile with heavy corn sweetness. Mashbill #1 or something very close, could even be a wheater. I like it quite a bit but not at the $35 price point. Too many others just as good or better for less. I will definitely finish the bottle though. At the $20-$25 price point it would be much more viable. Just my opinion and YMMV. GAbiker
Going to start light with a taste of Bernheim Wheat. Follow it up with a taste of PHC8. Then on to something with a little more kick...thinking ECBP#
flahute
Prepping for the big game here. Being from Seattle, I'm nervous because of the obvious bigness of the game. Need something to calm the nerves.......Starting with WT Diamond Anniversary. Secomd pour from this bottle. Second impression is very favorable. I agree with others who wish for more proof on this one, but am liking it quite a bit.Subsequent pours depend on how the game is going!!

EvergladeSlim
Bean, if it will save on shipping, I'd probably be willing to go in for a bottle or two as well. Fellow MD'er here, so PM me if you know a good place to buy from. With MD's shipping laws, I've always been wary of purchasing overseas. mbroo5880i
Sometimes I have difficulty deciding what to enjoy. While I don't have the bunker that many have, I sometimes feel like I have too many options. I wanted something special but not over the top tonight while watching the Super Bowl with my family so I opted for Crown OBSQ (120 proof) and Crown OESK (116 proof). I brought each down to around 110 proof with a touch of water and then added a small cube or two.
