Picked up my 2nd bottle of a Springbank 17 Fresh Sherry. It's oh so delicious. 1826f4113d47f60a6c94fc7ba612b76d.jpg

I want another one too. With so much else out there I want inside me, though, it's hard to pony up that dough twice.

I let something fly out of the bunker to pay for it. Also found it quite a bit cheaper than Binny's. I wanna say 174.99. Even with shipping it was less that Binny's. Sorry Joe. You were out anyways ;-)

Took advantage of a local sale to buy a Bunnahabhain 18 for $100 and a Hakushu 12 for $53ish. Really want to try the Bunna, and I figure every other 12 year old Japanese single malt is headed north of $100, might as well put one away for the future.

J/k! They're out. Oh well. Maybe someday.

Good job! Hakushu 12 is my favorite "reasonable" Japanese single malt.

I picked up some stuff recently, don't remember posting it:

Port Charlotte PC6

Ardbeg Uigeadail '05

Bowmore CS

Bowmore 17

Springbank 17 refill sherry CS

Mortlach 18 exclusive malts CS

Peat Monster 10th anniversary

Glenfarclas 105

While in Florida yesterday, had to choose between Yellow Spot and Talisker 18, each priced at $99.00. Brought home the Talisker because I know I love that one and I cannot see Yellow Spot being $40 better than the 3 PJL's that I have bunkered.

I grabbed an Aberlour 12 today because it struck as I was in the store that I hadn't had one in a very long time (way before the bottle change).

Bought a mini each of Bunnahabhain 12 and Tomatin 18. Hey, they were on sale.

Picked up an 18YO Macallan. For a long time it was my reference point for Scotch. I stumbled into a sale for $169 with one remaining bottle. I couldn't say no. Not the best value, but I have such good history with this particular bottling.

I recently purchased a Signatory Mortlach 21 yr. that was a Binny's selection that honestly is one hell of a value at $100 and I will definitely go back for another bottle or two.

I came across a dusty Compass Box Peat Monster Reserve and had to do a double take. It was a place I frequent regularly and never saw it before. It now has a new home.

Great find!

I bought a BB&R Littlemill 21 today. Will probably open it after my currently open Bladnoch starts pining for fjords, see if it's worth it to pick up more. I wasn't going to bother with this bottling, but gave in after looking around for other Littlemill bottlings and striking out.

this was rather outstanding at Binny's World of Whiskey the other night, so I took a bottle home

Wild Turkey Tradition 14

My first bottle of Green Spot. I went in to replenish my VOBBIB supply and walked out with one each of the GS, the new IW Harper, and WT101Rye (the first one I've seen retail although they are commonly found behind bars around here:rolleyes:).

  • 2 weeks later...

I was travelling for business this week and came upon an Aberlour 12 NCF that I had to grab. I've had a bottle of the regular 12 double cask in the past and wasn't that impressed. But I had to try the NCF based on how many good reviews I've read - and how hard it is to find.

Based on the initial dram last night, really glad I picked this one up. Hard to believe what a difference the NCF and 48% abv makes..

A few new additions. Due to a tongue burning incident with a bowl of scalding pho last week, I haven't cracked any of them yet.

Talisker 30 from 2010

2x Signatory Laphroaig 15 1998 Shery Butt from LMdW

2x Laphroaig 25 Cask Strength 2008

Lagavulin 12 2014

Picked up a Laphroaig Cairdeas 2014 finished in an Amontillado sherry cask. Had been looking for the well regarded 2013 port finish but never did find one so will have to make do with this one I suppose.
