Total Wine had 1 bottle of 4S 2009 on the shelf today so it went home with me... Hope to compare with the 10yr Ron Izalco group pick I got on Friday

When I popped in TW near me yesterday, they were stacked 8 deep.

Buddy of mine picked me up Doorly's 12yr + XO and RL Seale 10yr.

All three less then the FS 2009.

Exactly, I don't bite on the FS Exceptional releases.  They are good but not that good.

Also sorry if not clear, all three combined less FS 2009.

Now you lost me, you mean lesser quality FS 2009 or price wise?

Went back for the 20 year old based on how interesting the 15 was… pretty damn dark.

Long Pond is the last distillery I've really wanted to try that I haven't had the opportunity yet, let us know what you think!

Back on topic, got my KL order in and got the following:

  • Pusser's Gunpowder Proof
  • Doorly's XO
  • Doorly's 12yr.
  • RL Seale 10 yr.
  • Habitation Velier Worthy Park 12yr.
  • Golden Devil Caroni 23yr.
  • Mezan Guyana Rum
  • Black Tot Rum

Very Nice! I have an Impex Long Pond, but it is a 13 year old.

Let us know what you think of the Clarendon! That one is available near me but I have not pulled the trigger on it yet

Yes-- they were offering both the 13 and 15 Long Pond, and I went for the 15. This series sold out quickly-- I guess the pricing was far more favorable than the Blackadder releases. I'll let you know how the Clarendon goes.

Yes I'd like to hear about the Clarendon. I think it's priced about 80$ here. The LP 13 was 10$ higher.

The LP 13 I quite like. I'll have to go back and taste it again as it's been a while... too busy these days

Picked up a barrel pick of Holmes Cay 13yo Mauritius rum fully matured in Cognac casks selected by our very own @lcpfratn. Very brandy forward of course with a great long finish!

Low expectations on this.

I'm sure the percentage of liquid in this bottle from 1977 is equal to the percentage of my then-wardrobe from 1977 that I can still fit into.

Really? That's absurd-- this bottle was right at two bills.
