Guss West
I am fully smitten with Rhum Agricole. As I've been working down some of the open rum this year, I made room for a bottle I've wanted for a few years now. I loved a four year old PS Clement several years ago (State Line), love the 6 year Clement, so finally splashed the $80 for the 10 year old Clement Rhum Agricole! Looking forward to some SBS "educational" tasting when the next whim to Rhum strikes. Add Martinique to the bucket list.

Fwiw, I find Clement to be its own (amazingly tasty) thing but not necessarily representative of the category. That said my experience with agricole is limited and data points few. Let the experts chime in!
Guss West
Rhum JM VSOP was the first Rhum Agricole that really caught my attention! Sadly, I can no longer get that or any of the older Rhum JM bottlings I covet. Unaged white Rhum isn't for me. Looking for older age-stated Barbancourt bottlings. I also want to try Neissen. Always open to suggestions of Rhum to look out for, as well as specialty shops in NYC metro with a wide selection of Rhum Agricole (or Armagnac)!!! Radioyada
My first purchase of rum in quite a few years. Had a friend asked if I could help find a bottle for him, and thought I would grab one for myself to help give my bottle hoard a slightly different flavor. Online it says it is a mix of 7 to 12 year old column distilled rum. My friend and his wife love it, and I will have a sample from their bottle after this weekend to try. Will follow up with my thoughts.
Marekv8
Couple of bottles from my road trip-- both had been sitting for years in bourboncentric shops.

I have a 1996 that is not open yet. I first had a 1994 which I eventually finished and have since moved on to a 1999, skipping over the 1996 for reasons lost to the vagaries of time. Probably because I forgot I had it! That was back in “BS” times! (Before Spreadsheet) Tried that bottle of 25yo liquified Werthers candy yet?

HoustonNit
Well passed on this, Ron doesn’t put me in the mood for rum.
Marekv8
I like the Three Star quite a bit and was intrigued by this one, although I'm sure to be ridiculed by Bruce…
The Black Tot
Bruce deserves some holiday rest - I'll ridicule you instead. I know you'll enjoy it in good health. Happy holidays.
PhantomLamb
Lol, when the going gets tough, Paul or Bruce are there to tell you straight. I still haven't gotten into "Rhum" just yet, curious to see the differences between what I already have.

Enjoy!

Marekv8
I typically don't buy back-up bottles, but at $33.99 this was a no-brainer. I guess the price could be attributed to the "James" vs. "Sarah" signature.

LCWoody
I didn’t find very many LE bourbons this year, so I’ve been eyeing this for awhile and decided to pick it up. I hope its a pretty good one.

But pretty nice.
