I picked up a Sig for $21 last Friday and haven't seen the BIB. I can't help but wander, how different could it be? Looking forward to your report Rich!

Are you and Rich talking about the same thing? For $50, he must be referring to the 1897 ($46 here). On the other hand, I was just perusing the Total Wine website and see an Old Forrester 100 for $34. Not sure if this is Sig or something new because Sig has alway been $28 at that store. Seems like a big price jump for the same thing.

SAOS 10YR store pick. SA has been on the radar for quite sometime but never pulled the trigger. I have enjoyed several of this stores picks so the time was right to take one home.

I finally broke down and bought a Blade & Bow, not the 22 year tho. tried it at a tasting a couple months ago and actually really liked it, so I was just waiting for the right time to buy a bottle.

ugh, I'm horrible at the tasting notes thing, but I will give it a go once I open up the bottle, maybe sometime this weekend. I did try this side by side with IW Harper and this one definitely had the more complex flavor and I loved it. the IWH I felt was pretty thin.

Understood. I'm bad at it too, so doesn't have to be like the usual nose, taste, finish. Even just telling us if it reminds you of another bourbon or tastes like such-and-such is helpful. I'll check your profile to see if you have your recommended pours listed, but telling us what you normally like can help us see if our palates are aligned.

OFBB, Pikesville Rye and old stand by EW BiB. My regular store was holding the OFBB for me and told me they had it when the manager saw me. It was $69. Kind of overpriced, but I kind of see it as the price of admission for some of the other limited offerings coming out, which have not arrived yet according to the manager. He said he'd call me when in, so crossing my fingers.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof - Batch 8. $52.99 Beware of the leaky cork stopper. My bottle leaked when I turned it sideways. So, I opened it and replaced the loose cork stopper with a different composition cork stopper I had saved from a regular EC bottle. Perfect fit and seal.

I had an incredible day! Found two EC18 for $60 each and found three OFBB 15 for $54 each!!

Those are amazing prices as they are below our bottle costs here in GA. The EC18's are $97 wholesale cost and the OFBB's were $62 if I remember correctly. Hard to believe that CA wholesale prices are so far below what they are in GA. Here in GA it's illegal for retail to sell anything below cost.

Wow. That is impressive. Best deal I ever got was getting the High West Mid winter for 40 a bottle. I think you beat me.

Picked up another Blanton's original. I see online up here in Canada (Ontario) that it's now showing "Product discontinued". I know this isn't for production and only for LCBO importing so I figured I better pick up another one to store in the bunker just in case it's a while before we see it up here again. New poured batch. 15 11 15.
