taddraughn
I wouldn't get too hung up about the msrp of ECBP Mr. Tad. $50 is at the bottom end of its current going-rate, if you can find it that is. You have found it, and you should buy it. It doesn't last long when it shows up. I came across a bottle a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a couple of years. Oh, and buy up all of the Four Roses limited editions you can find. Haven't seen a bottle in forever. Well.. I followed your advice. Went back to the store this morning and grabbed three more FR LE and one ECBP. I left one of each on the shelf for someone else.

kjbeggs
The store I do the bulk of my shopping at held it's annual Whiskey Lottery last night. Quite a few bottles in stock, though only one each of PVW 23, 20, 15, and Rye. One ER17, WLW, and Saz18, two GTS, and multiple bottles of THH, ORVW 10 and LotB. Also had a few RR98, ETL, JEF20, ECBP, OFBB, etc. I made off with a few: HW MWND 3.1 (X2), 1792 Port Finish, AB High Rye, WLW, a RRSB signed by Bruce Russell (who was there), Balcones Rumble Cask Reserve, JD Sinatra Century(I know...) and a couple of the store's SAOS 9 YO SB for Christmas gifts. Not pictured, the Yellow Stone I carried out of the "Pick Room" and promptly dropped... (fortunately before buying it), the OFBB and JEF20 I had already purchased. Night Gallery
Stopped into a liquor store today that I usually don't frequent. While I was looking over their selection of ryes the manager walked by and asked if he could help and I said that I'd really like to find one more bottle of FR SB Limited 2015. He went in the back and brought out a bottle of FR SB Limited 2014 that had somehow been lost in the shuffle. It was a good day. El Vino
· Hidden Hidden Old EC 18. Great way to relax after a busy day running errands with Mrs. EV. The balance is what shines, barrel notes, spice, sweetness and a touch of heat at the end. Some of the old EC 18's were spotty. This one just sings. Link to comment
jeffrey r
Well.. I followed your advice. Went back to the store this morning and grabbed three more FR LE and one ECBP. I left one of each on the shelf for someone else.Damn, that is seriously the motherlode--congrats. I haven't seen a Small Batch LE in years. The last one I bought was a 2011, and at the time I left a few more on the shelf. Took the 2011 home, opened it up and was blown away, went back the next day for the rest, and they were all gone. Haven't come across a bottle since. Side note, just for a frame of reference, it helps if you put your location into your forum profile. Cheers. zeeck
Was buying a couple six packs for the evening and my local store owner tipped me off that he had a bottle of ETL sitting in the back. Naturally it came home with me, and he's now my best friend!

Fort Knox
The wife and I are heading to my buddy's house in Hilton Head for Thanksgiving, so I'm looking forward to hitting some liquor stores down there, since they almost always have some good bottles that I can never get here in Durham, but figured I would pick up a couple of bottles to take along to drink on Turkey Day, so I stopped in the local ABC store. My buddy loves WT101, so I picked up a bottle, along with a bottle of EC12 for me. I also saw that they had some AAA 10* and another friend of mine has been looking for some, so I picked up a bottle for him. They didn't have much else that caught my eye, but I have been meaning to pick up a bottle of Booker's "Center Cut", so I looked at their bottles of Booker's to see what batches they had. They had 1 bottle of "Oven Buster" and the rest were "Maw Maw's Batch". The manager asked what I was looking for, so I told him and he went in the back and brought out a bottle of "Center Cut" for me. So, nothing really special, but at least I got what I went in for and found a bottle for a couple of buddies.

MOwhisky4me
Had my favorite local shop call me this morning and offer me a bottle of Van Winkle Lot B 12 y/o. Told him I'd be there within the hour.I had stopped in there a few weeks ago and he had a case of Weller 12 Year on the shelf and I took 3 bottles home and sent 2 of my bourbon loving friends texts and they stopped in for a couple bottles as well. He knew I sent them and it ended up paying off!
starhopper
I bought the last bottle of Stagg Jr, Batch 4, from my local LS ($52.95). I had bought the other four bottles a few weeks ago, and the last bottle was still sitting there all alone wanting to come home with me to join the family. So, I obliged! I AM SO HOOKED ON THIS BATCH!

worstbandname
Woodford Reserve. It was the holiday gift box that came with he Glencarin glass. Hard to pass it up and it was a local store I had not purchased from before. I don't like to talk out empty handed especially if I'm making my first introduction to a store owner. bozoshoes
On a recent trip to San Diego, I bought that same gift pack for $29.99. I think it was a good price because where I live it generally sells for 34.99 without the glass!

joshtpa
Called my local store to see if any FR LE SmB had arrived yet expecting the same thing I've been hearing for a month...That's when I heard the amazing reply that they did get one bottle and it's first come first serve. I was about an hour away, but called the wife and she ran up to grab it immediately. Lucky day, great wife!
