LCWoody
Having some EWSB '05 tonight. This bottle is just a few days older than 10 years, and what a barrel. I just pick this bottle up yesterday. It was the only '05 mixed in with some '06 and '07's. What made me buy it was it had a lot of sediment at the bottom, and you normally don't see that in EWSB. Glad I pick it up. Edited February 17, 2016 by LCWoody

Harry in WashDC
Getting over a multiday sore throat. I stopped American whiskeys and took up DayQuil several days ago. Stopped the DQ at midnight last night and am easing back into bourbon tonight with a very short 1792 Sweet Wheat. Goodness. Gracious. Sakes alive. Shoulda used this instead of DQ. smokinjoe
I like bringing bourbons from my home bar to sip on during my travels, because I feel that a change of scenery often times gives me a new/different perspective on them. Sometimes, for the good. Sometimes, for the bad. Tonight it's a basic Jefferson's that I brought from home, and now sipping in my hotel. This bottle has not impressed me much to date, but Lordy, does this whiskey seem young tonight. As in 2 yr young, despite that since it's NAS, it must be at least 4yr. Color is really pallid, as well. This Jefferson's deficiencies are really highlighted here, tonight.

After a very full weekend of drinking with my visiting brother in law, which included GTS, WLW, HHSS #2, and 1792 Sweet Wheat, as well as mainstays such as EC12, HMcK 10, AND, OESK and the favorite 4R of the weekend which was an OBSQ........... I am going back to basics tonight with some WT101 which is just tasting fantastic.
meadeweber
A store select 1792 last night. I'm into the final third of the bottle and I'm not liking it as much as I did in the first half of the bottle.
