Since I have reason to get to the mall this weekend, I do believe I need one of those.

ken_mays
Dickel barrel select 9 yr 51.5%. A pungent burst of flavor up front. Vitamin taste is there but kind of covered up by everything else going on. A longish finish. I like it so far.
elmossle
Started the evening with standard Buffalo Trace. Followed that up with some HMBIB. Great pours that it the spot.

flahute
WT101 has been tasting divine the past couple evenings. When your palate speaks, you must follow its lead. Since the Turkey profile has breen squarely in the wheelhouse, I've been following with WTRB which has also been tasting stellar. I was tempted to keep it going this evening, but switched it up with ETL, which surprisingly is tasting great tonight. (This bottle has been mostly meh since I opened it.) Following with WT101 which is still delivering.
Charlutz
Last night was a hummingbird night for me where I moved from bottle to bottle taking a taste. I think my taste buds may have been off. Started with makers 46, which I usually really enjoy but it seemed very harsh. Unusual for a wheater and inconsistent with my recollection. Is it my taste buds? Next went to SAOS 10 and it was fantastic. Very drinkable. Now I'm wondering if something might be wrong with the M46 and maybe my taste buds are just fine. Then tried a small taste of Barrel Bourbon No. 6. I was expecting great things based on reviews but found a maple syrup taste to be overwhelming in a not good way. Reminded me of KC Smoked Maple which I don't like at all. Back to wondering about my taste buds. I finished with some 4RSB that tasted great and like I remembered. So, no answers as to whether it was my taste buds, something wrong with the M46 or that I just don't like BB6. Guess it just means I'll have to try them all again! So this story has a happy ending after all.
meadeweber
ECBP 139.8 with a fair amount of distilled water. I'm not tolerating the really high proofs neat recently and I also believe they burn out my palate. When I drink high proof bourbon neat for 2 or 3 nights in a row, all whiskey has somewhat of a bitter taste to me the next few nights.
Fort Knox
Had a couple of standard 4RSB pours with dinner, followed by OGD114, and I've now got some 4RSB PS OESV in my glass. The OESV has been open for about a week and a half now and it seems like it's starting to open up a bit. I'm really liking it, but I'm craving a little bit of sweetness for my night cap, so I might have to pour some OWA next.
flahute
4R kind of night. SmB to begin. Then some OESK. Wasn't tasting quite right at full strength (54%) so I diluted with a little 4RYL. Perfect! Finishing with standard 4RSB.

Ahhhhh Will…… Your weekend mornings with WLW always give me a knowing smile. Unfortunately, I've had a lot going on the past few weekends, and I haven't been able to indulge myself with anything alongside my morning cup of coffee. Such is the case today. I'm having a (second ) cup of coffee while waiting on a phone call from my son, then it will be out the door to go look for a new tv. All the while there is an open bottle of ORVW 10 sitting on the shelf behind me. Cheers! Joe
dSculptor
Started with some BH last night, pretty good stuff, followed by EC23 which was an oak bomb, very good sippi'n stuff, then capped it off with some EC18,pretty decent evening. El Vino
Spring-like weather here. Took the dog for a long walk on the golf course. Back home now with a FR OBSK 10 years 5 months 59.8% bottled in 2014. Warehouse HW rick 78 on the fourth tier. Why oh why did I not buy more?!? Last bottle. Great flavor, balance and aroma. Fruit, sweet and barrel notes in perfect harmony. Neat in a glencairn. From Bayway. Edited February 20, 2016 by El Vino

flahute
Pre dinner pour of ETL. It's been tasting a lot better the past few pours - like how I remember it from a couple years ago. Back then, I considered it to be pretty special and therefore went to some effort to seek it out and stock up when it became scarce. With a couple years of perspective under my belt, I don't get as excited about it. It's still good, but not worth paying boom prices for so I won't lament it not being easier to find when there are so many bourbons I like.
