FacePlant
It's a BIB evening at the Hamilton house. Started with a Madura perfecto and CEHT SB. Sweet and tasty. Moving to Henry McKenna before dinner. Probably wind down w/staple White label EW for desert. Even a poor boy can live like a King.
fishnbowljoe
The last couple of nights I've been having pours from a ps Weller SR. Good stuff.
LCWoody
Finished off an EWSB 2004 tonight. Then had a very good glass of Jeffersons 10y Rye, batch 12.
ken_mays
Due to a lingering cold, my sense of taste is just about zero. I'm having some 1792 small batch because I don't want to drink better stuff if I can't taste it.
Tanger11
After a 20 hour work day I poured a RR Single Barrel PS. Next pour is a Pikesville poured with a heavy hand.
Charlutz
RHF. Just the right combination of syrupy sweetness with a perfectly light lingering kick of cinnamon.
Hop
It was EC12 to begin and KC2001 to end - moving through that one to open up shelf space and remind myself not to buy things like that again when I could have just bought 4 KC regulars and been as happy
Richnimrod
Poured out a BIG one of HMcK SB in a rox glass. Added one medium rock, and relaxed after a tough day in 'the weeds' where I volunteer, relaxed for about two hours with it. I'm about to go back for the last of this bottle HMcK. Wish I had many more; but, alas, just one more bottle from this barrel. Oh well, only way to enjoy it is to drink it! Soooo, I shall do that! Prof_Stack
Finished the last 50g of Maker's Mark 46, a smooth wheater. I'll pick up another bottle at Sam's Club next time I got there.
Tony Santana
4R OESK. One of my favorite recipes.
$helby
Finished off a bottle of AB 15 Gingerbread Cocoa since I was able to buy another today. Just felt like a little something different tonight. Last night my son and I fining shed off the last pours from a large bottle of OWA while watching game 1 of the Series. elmossle
Was feeling a little iffy like I was starting to come down with something from the kids. Figured a little ECBP would help get rid of any unwanted items internally.
Golferpimp1
ECBP 139.4 tonight. Looking forward to doing a sbs with the 136 once I crack that bottle. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
LCWoody
Started with some Pinhook and then moved on to some EC12.
kcgumbohead
OGD 114 I decided to shelve the last couple pours of my OBSF/OESF GS bottles till I shake the cold that landed yesterday afternoon. That said the 114 was very satisfying though muted from the effects of the damn cold.
GaryT
Damned seasonal allergies (coupled with no rain in weeks) finally gave me a break this afternoon. Started with a small/studied pour of this year's AECS, and following in that vein with some 1792 Port/FP mingle. This is definitely a winner for me. I love the 1792 FP, and I like the 1792 Port, although find it a bit on the porty/sweet side. I can't say this mingle is BETTER than the 1792 FP, but it is certainly right there with it. $helby
A couple of pours into Basil Hayden while spending the night in New Bern. First time in quite a while but the hotel Bourbon selection is a little weak: KC, MM,JBW and the BH.
Golzee
Having a nightcap of a PS OWA, getting low on this bottle. Cheers all
MeAndMyWhiskey
Had a few friends over for blind tasting some mid-shelf standard bottlings followed by meat extravaganza from local BBQ joint. Almost uniformly the order of preference of these four was as follows: Eagle Rare (local store pick--or at least they got a sticker saying it was), Henry McKenna BIB, 1792, 4RSmB. The low placement of the 4RSmB in the order of preference really surprised me! The good news was that we did a draft at the end of the night so each guy could take a bottle home and, as the host, I rigged it to get the last bottle so everyone else could have their preference. So I will be able to spend a little more quality time with that 4RSmB and see what's going on.

The low placement of the 4RSmB in the order of preference really surprised me! That sounds about right, to me at least. The ER is always a crowd pleaser. HMcK BIB is terrific, but a bit rougher around the edges. 1792 decent but nothing special. And 4RSmB is lacking IMO as well. Love the SB, and love love the Private Selections, but Small Batch has never done it for me. Sounds like a good time--bourbon and BBQ, nothing wrong with that...
