In the past I tried a 10 Year Bird Dog bourbon after seeing a Liquorhound video on YouTube. That bottle was terrible advice. More recently I've had a really bad single barrel PS version of Wathen's. I've also had fantastic Wathen's PS single barrels however. Another potential drain pour is a MGP sourced bottle named Backbone Bourbon. Horrible (although I love good MGP). Backbone's rye however is really good. Called bonesnapper. It is one of my regularly consumed bottles, and is in my opinion one of the best values in mgp sourced juice. It consistently beats many other mgp sourced offerings at even twice the price.

Ravensfire
It used to be Dry Fly's Port Finished Wheat Whiskey. That stuff was just plain undrinkable. I finally used the last as part of a marinade for some pork tenderloin. So right now, the worst thing I've got is a Smooth Ambler Yearling from a year or two ago. It just doesn't taste good. Not just young, but has some odd off-flavors that just don't work for me. Need to grab some Dr Pepper and finish that bottle off so I don't have to look at it anymore! JoeTerp
I've got a Catoctin Creek Single barrel store pick that I recently opened up and it's bad. Tried to cocktail it off and got in trouble with my wife.

I got one of their 1st white dog rye and was amazed; one dimensional but as silky smooth as sweet sweet water. They did a pomegranate that was high dollar but I'm still kicking myself for passing.
fishnbowljoe
I first got into bourbon back in 2008. One day back then, we had to go to CVS for something. I looked at their liquor, and found a handle of Gran Legacy bourbon for $16.00. Being new to all this, I couldn’t resist such a deal. I tried to like it. After a half a dozen or so pours over some time, I gave up. It became my first drain pour. Biba! Joe

Unless your real goal is to ruin some Dr. Pepper.
BottledInBond
I drain poured several craft bottles as I have been packing to move. I acquired them in different ways but haven’t drank any in a while. While trying to drink down open bottles before the move, I determined at least 3 of these to be 100% undrinkable
PaulO
Hey, I saw Big Level today in a store for more than $50. Never tried it, guess I don't need to.

PaulO
I made got rid of BT Mash Bill #1 white dog by mixing with lemonade and plenty of ice - not bad. Only we can't assume a craft necessarily makes as good a white dog as an experienced legacy distillery.
Threewood
Calumet Farm Single Rack Black 12 - tastes very young for its age statement, on the spicy side. Paid too much for it in retrospect.
shuttlenote
Old Forester Store Pick 90 Proof: Warehouse I, Floor 4 It's got this banana flavored candy thing going on with hits of spearmint on the back end. Such a weird taste profile to me. The bright side is the bottle is almost done!
BottledInBond
I made my move to our new house this week. Happy to report that I finally just drain poured all the crap I don’t like. Feels pretty damn good. No need to try to kid myself that I would eventually find a good use for this or that. Life is too short, only drink what you actually like

I have a reasonable tolerance for burying craft crap or other whiskey in cocktails. Sometimes I’ve even gone half/half of the less desirable with a standard pour from one of the majors into a cocktail just to help make it easier. But, sometimes that acetone and wet cardboard stuff still shines through. And it takes seemingly forever when you do it these ways, and you have a bunch of these bottles that accumulated over time. Here’s the thing. I buy 1.75s of EWBIB for $25 as my cheapest basic bourbon pour for making basic cocktails (I make a lot of cocktails with rye as well though). I totally enjoy a EWBIB and ginger ale when I’m not in the mood for meat pours. Why put in effort to try to slowly make my way through all that other crap? In the past I always felt guilty, like it was a shame to waste any whiskey. But, I can certainly afford more of the EWBIB to replace the craft stuff forced into cocktails, and probably enjoy it more anyway......

I’m so with you on hanging on to the idea that you will never find a good use for the crap that was bought. I’ve drain poured a very few of these. But I’m on the brink of a wholesale fire dump. On one hand, I will curse myself for dumping probably over a $1,000 worth of whiskey. On the other hand, it will clear space for what I truly like. PS: Personally, I will get my only real enjoyment from them, though, by tossing them into the outdoor fireplace bit by bit, and watching the fire show erupt!!!

LCWoody
I’m just going by what’s been somewhat popular lately. This is NOT IN MY WHEEL HOUSE (Old Tub). I tried to like it but can’t stand it. I gave it to my son to mix with Dr Pepper. I have definitely had worse in the past, but as of late, this is it to me.

PaulO
Some of that undrinkable stuff, you guys could use it to clean windows, maybe wipe down surfaces. Put it in a spray bottle.
