I’d go with the Apple @hughewil. I retired last September. In the couple or so years prior, a former coworker and I were on the “injured list”. I had to deal with a torn rotator cuff, and he had a neck/spine issue related to a prior rotator cuff injury. He said that I’d probably have my surgery and be recovered  and retired before he had his surgery. I kidded him back by betting a bottle of booze that he’d have his surgery before I retired. I lost the bet. He didn’t have his surgery until this January. He absolutely loves Crown Apple, and that was the bottle he chose to receive from me.

Shopping day today. Light day today, so only a couple of things to put away in the freezer. I had to smile when I saw my OF 86 proof that fit perfectly in the door tray of our freezer.

I took @fosmith’s suggestion and stuck a bottle of AA in the freezer. I didn’t care much for it straight, but outta the freezer, it ain’t half bad.

I’ve got a bottle I found in Ohio a couple of years back. I actually like it quite a bit, and quite a bit more than this 80 proof AA. 
 

I also have an unopened bottle of AA 90 proof I need to crack at some point. Fingers crossed it like it more than it’s 80 proof brethren.

I know most folks here that have freezer bottles usually use them more in the summer time. I’ve enjoyed mine so much this past summer, that I’m seriously considering having a freezer bottle (or two) year round. Anyone else? Thoughts, comments, Buehler……🫥   If I do this, OF 86 and FR will be my choices.

I only have room for one bottle, so Mellow Corn is my freezer whiskey.

I think a decent freezer whiskey is a good idea, year round.   If nothing else, it won't dilute as much if your making cocktails....

Thanks @Skinsfan1311. I have 6 or 8 plastic 375’s that are currently empty. There’s  a spot for a couple right in the door of my freezer.

I keep 4RYL there year round. Recently I started leaving regular ol' MM there. I've Aldo experimented with OF100. I may try OF86 too. I won't have that and OF100 at the same time. OF100 is my current go-to for cocktails, and it's awful nice to have it cold if I don't have any clear cubes cut up.

I only do mine during the summer. When it gets cold here it's also wet. Very wet. The kind of cold/wet that seeps into your bones. We have very few sunny days during this time so the thought of a freezer whiskey give me the chills!

 

Edit to add: the rain literally started today so here we go!
