Thanks.  I got that particular glass at the WT distillery gift shop, about 10 years ago when the gift shop was across the road from the current location.  One of my other favorite WT rocks glass came from the new gift shop.  Some of my favorite whiskey glasses came from various distillery tours... they make a nice souvenir.

Nice!

I've gotten most of my whiskey glassware from distillery tours, or gift shops.

We've been twice, but WT was one that we missed.

We will not make that mistake on the next trip.

Some years ago, I got a free set of Wild Turkey Old Fashioned glasses with a Christmas bottle of Rare Breed. I still have them, and everyone always comments on how nice they are.

Rittenhouse old fashioned while watching a very boring Astros game.  Stros offense has already been on mid-season break since last Thursday.

At least the drink tastes great.

My daughter's experiment in lemonades didn't take nearly as many lemons and she had me buy.  So mom and dad had whiskey smashes, Man O' Wars, and whiskey sours the rest of the weekend.

Good for you, sir!   When life gives you lemons.... right?

Everyone is always talking about the Boulevardier, and I had never had one. After looking up a recipe, I was afraid I wouldn't like it, but it was delicious!

1 1/2 oz Knob Creek Twice Barreled Rye, 3/4 oz Campari, 3/4 oz Noilly Prat sweet vermouth. On the rocks.

Old fashioned with chocolate bitters and homemade blueberry mint simple syrup.

Solid little concoction

Cheap cocktail night, after playing in a golf tournament in the scorching heat.

WT101, Bittermilk’s bourbon barrel aged Old Fashion Mix, Regans Orange Bitters, Angostura bitters, Luxardo cherry and a couple mandarin orange wedges for dessert 😁.  Nice end of day cocktail.

May I ask, since you are using an "old fashion mix", why do you need to add all that other stuff? Besides the garnishes, isn't an old fashioned just whiskey, sugar, and bitters?

We're working our way through miscellaneous spirits and liqueurs because each bottle has two ounces or less in it, and they take up "needed" space,  Tonight before we eat homemade chicken fried steak in the Threadgill's style, we are each having an Odd McIntosh.  This is Jason Wilson's recipe from May 30, 2007 when he wrote a regular Spirits column for the Wash Post.

In a shaker with ice, combine then shake (or stir):

3/4 oz. Lillet Blanc

3/4 oz. Cointreau

3/4 oz. Applejack

3/4 oz. lemon juice

Strain into a martini glass, and garnish with a thin orange slice.

We will use up the Lillet and a Laird's Captain Apple Jack bonded.  Do not fret - I already have replacements.

The civilized part of me hates how good those are, especially with Jack Daniels. :)

Good call using cheap whiskey.

I made our batch with AA 10 star.

Just returned from the Motherland with some Ale-8-One.  A highball of it and some Wild Turkey is spectacular on this warm late afternoon.  Tonight, we ordered pickup of some Thai food for dinner, and since A-8 isn’t an in your face ginger ale, it is a nice accompaniment.

On vacation in Ireland.

Thought I'd try an old fashioned with the new Powers Rye at the hotel bar.

It's good.

This is full of win!

Our hotel in Dublin, (the Brooks), has a bar,(Jasmine), with a very good selection of whiskey and they made great cocktails.

I developed a fondness for Powers whiskey over there. I have to get my hands on a bottle of the rye!!

Mrs. Skinsfan requested an Old Fashioned. I had to wing it, (no SS or orange), but made due with agave syrup and a lime peel.

Thankfully, we do have Luxardo cherries,  because there is no substitute for those 😎

This looks divine. Powers is ridiculously good.
