To me, it doesn't seem to have the banana that's typical to the OF profile. More of a vanilla. For my money, however, I won't replace this bottle when it's gone. I would much prefer another bottle of 1920. And an 86 proof OF. And an OF 100. And an OF rye. I couldn't have phrased that any better myself.

markandrex
The wife made a batch of fresh oatmeal raisin cookies. I paired them with a 1792 BiB. Yummy!
Kepler
The newbie masses have discovered JJB because social media was going crazy when the new single barrel showed up on shelves around Texas. I don't need more, but it did inspire me to have a pour from mine tonight

I'm comfortable at the current price point ~ $50.00, (and sometimes cheaper when it goes on sale), but there's a lot of great whiskey North of $50.00..
kcgumbohead
Last night was the Costco Kirkland version of VOB Bib. Just like I recall VOB, a straightforward bourbon which always gives me a nice dark chocolate note which I always got in VOB, its what made it a staple for me and I'm glad its present in the Costco version as we don't get VOB 100 here. I still don't understand why Barton would drop the BIB? You're easily big enough to contract distill and meet BIB requirements, the VOB BiB wasn't so heavily distributed that it was unduly taxing your enormous inventory, WTF Sazerac? I do hope it gets restored at some point when they have produced enough distillate to supply earth and all the other planets in the solar system (say mid summer 2023?). Maybe then they might be comfortable once again to restore BIB and MAYBE even bump it back to 6YR?
Clueby
Toasted bourbon blind tasting last night. This was the group consensus left to right ("best" on left). I had the Penelope as my #1 and BH Toast last. The Oak & Eden was by far the darkest of the bunch. It's a bit hard to make out in the pic: Micther's>ECT>Penelope>O&E>Bridle&Bit>Daviess>BHT>Bridge&Main.

Patrick_OKC
over the last couple of evenings, I have enjoyed some Beam products. I haven't touched these since 2013 to 2015, for no particular reason, but the SB is really quite good. Pat
mbroo5880i
Started with Legent, finished with Still Austin Cask Strength. Both are solid for what they are. Tonight's winner was Still Austin Cask Strength. However, I would take a few more bottles of each for the bunker.

Getting rid of the BiB designation from VOB creates a bit more brand differentiation from 1792.
bayouredd
Yaaaaay Friday... Opened a 375 of 1910 1st. I surprisingly really liked it. Surprisingly, because I haven't care one way or another in the past... Next a RR SS Sib - Just Fantastic... Now on my second pour of OF100. Hope my delivery shrimp po-boy comes soon because this bottle is good enough to be finished tonight and its half full...

I can get Tom Moore BiB in 1.75L for even cheaper than VOB 100. TM BiB is my go-to for inexpensive Barton.
