The Georgia Peach Truck usually comes to our area every year. I thought they came in July. But, we didn't see it this year. 🙁

Fortunately,  the Kentucky Straight Bourbon Truck still makes it up our way. 😍

It is almost like an ice cream truck when you were kid. No music like the Pied Piper, but people still follow it and watch the driver unload. 😀

Switched over to some store pick single barrel Stagg to finish the night off.  This is pretty darn tasty.

I’m having a couple of healthy pours of Blanton’s this evening. My dil received her Masters Degree in Nursing a number of months ago. She received her diploma and other honors at an official ceremony today in Schaumburg IL. Hence the Blanton’s. After the ceremony, there was a party for her at her twin sister and bil’s farm near Hinkley IL. The party was great as was he sunset. We got home late but happy.

So happy to find this as a $9 pour last night.  Absolutely outstanding, this pick was quite a step above regular 107.

I'm giving ECTB another chance. I love most things EC.

Especially ECBP - I think it's one of the best values in bourbon. One of the Cheap Bastards (you know who you are) probably just involuntarily spit his drink all over the screen upon having read that last comment - 25 cents wasted! 😉

I have just not been a fan of the ECTB. Seems bitter on the finish. Or perhaps my palate shall continue to evolve, time'll tell.

I've passed on that one, many times.

I tend to pass on most whiskey with "toasted" on the label unless, of course, I'm toasted.😉

I know who I am😁

I feel ya. I normally don't care for "toasted" either. The ECTB I just had...it's not bad. Just not good enough to buy more or drink it in lieu of other bottles I like much more.

And yet, there were one or two "toasted" bottles I did like. But I must not have loved them because they do not instantly come to mind. I'll have to check my notes.

Poured some nice SFTB 130.6. That's more like it.

While I don't find toasted off-putting, I don't think it adds anything to my cravings. I do however, find that it fits My Honey's tastes. She digs that profile & I don't mind the buy for her. The 1st, Michtner's & then the EC have fit this bill. If I see, I pass unless I need a bottle for her...

Was having a touch of the VOB90 and didn't get the peach at all, so I added the cube and did get a bit of the peach peel. (yep, I eat those too) I may have been programmed by a GA resident, but that's better than a gumbo note... (LA homer) 😜

Amen!

That's why I keep a bottle of Sagamore DO rye on hand. While I find the oak a little cloying, Mrs. Skinsfan really likes it.

This year was my first time for the Georgia Peach truck.  I got two boxes, ate for about two weeks after they had ripened, and froze the rest. There is cobbler in the near future.

OK, prove it really was in the freezer.  Never mind, I believe you!

And that's a right proper pour!

We pick 'em from a local orchard a  couple of times over the summer. I never get tired of eating peaches, or cobbler😉

I infuse cheap bourbon with peeled, sliced ripe peaches in a large Mason jar.

Killed a OF 1920, ever notice, like a good burger, that the last taste is the best? This was stellar! Next up will be a Col EHT SmB, looking foward to it!!!

That is one mighty fine spread right there.  Turkey with all the trimmings.  😁
