This is a spectacular dram after all said and done! The color on this one looks amazing. Never met a Balvenie I didn't like.

Probably release around 2010 give or take a couple years

I've seen that Durand cork remover work with success by others, but I've never trusted my skills enough to take the plunge on the investment, thinking I'd probably not realize the benefits. Your experience just reinforces my first impression. I'll continue with my tried and true manual method, just like you did. I've done it enough, especially with old WT bottles, that I've actually become quite efficient and it doesn't take me very long anyway.

b1gcountry
I just picked up the 21yr mizunara oak double double. It got positive mentions enough places I figured it was worth the chance...
jvd99
Another broken cork, this one in a pre-1984 tax stamped Glenlivet 12 Tried and true decanting process took about 3 minutes, back in original bottle with a modern cork

I have a different Linkwood Signature bottle than yours, that I need to crack open myself. Thanks for the reminder sir

Kepler
Another sale pickup. Wouldn't have purchased this one if it hadn't had a huge discount. After tasting it, glad I did.
