My first post here but definitely not my first purchase.

Anyway, I work a few blocks from LeNells. I decided to pick up:

Eagle Rare 101. Weller Centennial, and Rittenhouse 21.

Eeerrrmmm let's see...

I bought a bottle of brandy for my boss (as Xmas is just round the corner and I want to keep my job!) and of course 1 or 2 bottles for myself!

A PVW23 and 20, 2 x VWFRR 13 YO and a bottle of Lot B. Oh and a bottle of Pappy 20 for my mate Dave.

All in all a big day by anybody's standards I think...

After much anticipation, I finally had my Rittenhouse 21 show up today. I am looking forward to having a pour this evening.

Is Lenell's 23 year rye on the shelves yet? Knowing how great the Willett's 22 year rye we got a barrel purchase of turned out, I'm very curious about it.

My latest: a Weller 12 (paper label bottle), and a Saz Junior.

From other aisles, a bottle of Carpano Antica Formula vermouth, and a Boomsma Oude Genever.

Finding something previously untried in these parts is tough, but today I did it. Henry McKenna NAS. Under $10. Maybe I'll do a comparo of HM, Evan Williams and Ten High one of these days. If I do, then I'll match the winner against JB white.

Yours truly,

Dave Morefield

It's $13 here in WA. It was my favorite of the less expensive pours until I tried JTS Brown, it took over and is only $11. The other less expensive pour I had tried, Ancient Age, I find to be quite bland.

W.L. Weller 107 & Old Forester 100.

I can't believe the OF is 100 proof. It's just too smooth. My cobinet will never be without a bottle of this for every day use.

Went on a last-minute business trip to Boise and found a lone bottle of Russell's Reserve 101. I know this is still on the shelves in lots of places, but it's nowhere to be found in my home-town. I haven't tasted it yet, but it sure has a beautiful color to it - very red. Now, I just need to find it's twin, so I can open one of them and drink it! :yum:

On a biz trip to Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana this week, had enough time to drop in on Cork'N Bottle in Covington, KY. Picked up an AAA 10 yr and one of C 'N B's Single Barrel selections (Barrel#4) of Old Weller Antique 107. Kudos to the person who picked this barrel. It's very tasty.

A dusty bottle of EWSB '94. I'll repeat that, EWSB'94. In Ohio.

You folks out west don't know how good you've got it. Being in a control state has a big downside. The best thing about bourbon hunting in Ohio is that it borders Kentucky.

But, there is an interesting back story to the bottle I found. It comes from the same barrel with the same barrel/bottle date as an existing bottle of EWSB '94 in my bunker. How? Over two years ago when the '94 was plentiful, I purchased my bunkered bottle of '94 in that store. Then, for well over two years, the bottle I just picked up sat on the shelves, gathering dust, and watching the bottles of '95 come and go, then the arrival of the current '96. After stopping in there once in a while, I had a feeling I might score an older vintage in that store, but I had no idea that it would be a twin to the bottle in my bunker!

2006 Stagg, Thomas H. Handy, William L. Weller, Buffalo Trace (1.75L) and Evan Williams BIB. Would have purchased the other 2 from the Antique Collection but didn't want to alarm the credit card company.

Very Old Barton. I just tried it; it is not one of my favorites, but for $11 I am not displeased.

I enjoy bourbon with coke, and I think that this bourbon will be appropiate for this form of consumption.

I just ordered an AH Hirsch16 and a Woodford R. I did some damage to a bottle of EWSB 96 at my wife's family Christmas party in NJ on Sun..and was lost in the mellow smoothness of many a pour and content with life.

I too just ordered a bottle of A.H. Hirsch16. I also ordered a bottle of Lot B. I have not had either one and am looking forward to the first taste. Who knew drinking bourbon could be so much fun?

I was getting a new bottle of WT101 and decided to pick up the only bottle of Old Fitz BIB (Bernheim) that has been sitting around for months in the liquor store. The price was right, and comments on this forum have been pretty favorable, so I figured "why not"?

bought some Pappy 20yr since I badgered the liquor store near me in Morris county new jersey to start stocking VanWinkle. he is now working on stocking Stagg. Now I do not have to drive far and can actually walk there when I'm running low

Just got a bottle of Elijah Craig 12. I haven't had one around for a while and was missing it. Popped the cork and had a sniff, not a drink, as I have to drive in a few minutes. Smelled good.

I'm thinking of walking over to pick up a bottle but I'm on the fence since I dropped that plus more last week when I bought a bottle of Rittenhouse 21.

I'll be receiving a bottle of Weller 12 Special Single Barrel Bottling, and a Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye (F) today, from friends who picked them up during their travels this week. Friends with Weller and Van Winkle, are friends indeed!!
