ggilbertva
I happened to find a bottle of Lot B from an ABC store in Fredericksburg VA. I was surprised to see it as I've hit probably 6-7 stores before finding this. I had nearly given up hope but determination won out.
Empty Glass
I just ordered a Pappy 20 from the package store in Morris, CT. and a Pappy 23 online. It's not my fault it was all your suggestions. This is no place for an impulse buyer. I've been sucked in to your world. Merry Christmas to me. Thank god I pay the MC bill. FlashPuppy
Just ordered anothe BTAC aside from the Thomas H. Handy, they didn't have it. All of the bottles were in the 46-48 dollar range, and got ten percent off for ordering online. I am happy with that price. This was at bevmo.com for anyone interested. SBOmarc
A bottle of EWSB 95 as a birthday gift for a bourbon drinker that swears by all that is Wild Turkey. Wish the 94 version was still around these parts.
doubleblank
My "special order" at Spec's finally arrived at the downtown store. Two "cases" of W Larue Weller and two "cases" of Handy Saz. There was more of the ORVW L'burg 10/107's they found in the warehouse, so I bought four more of those too. I had to wait 30 mins until they found the price for the Handy, so they gave me one for free. BTW, the 60,000 sq ft store and parking lot was packed.Randy

FlashPuppy
Well, Duty Free was both cool and a letdown. While there was not any WT12 or any other cool export only stuff, I did pick up two bottles of WT8 yr. They are liter bottles and only cost $17 (no tax) a piece. That's cheaper than WT101 folks. I also bought my first bottle of Jack Daniel's. It is THREE liters!!!!! I put a bottle of Jim Beam next to it, just for comparison. While in Mexico, I also picked up a cool new flask. It is a lower cow leg with a bottle in it. How could I not get it? I also got lunch for three bucks and two margaritas plus a double shot for six bucks. All in all, a good day. An essential NY pilgrimage for the bourbon devout.-MikeI heard LeNell berate someone on the phone the other day... apparently the caller said that he was a true bourbon fan living in NYC but never been to the shop. It's well worth the visit! I still haven't picked up the bottle but would like to do a head-to-head with the RH21.

Old Lamplighter
Picked up a Wild Turkey Rare Breed over the weekend. Second one of these for me. First bottle was the 1999 batch which was very good. I had to stay away from it for a while because it is way too easy for me to consume. Anyways, just could not resist and decided to get myself an early Christmas present. I had a generous pour on Sat nite and planning on 1 or 2 more tonite. Don't know 'bout the earlier versions before 1999, but this WT-03-RB batch has to be some of the best bourbon ever made in my opinion......tip of my hat to Jimmy Russell every time I sip it. He is indeed a master distiller!
Empty Glass
I just picked up an ETLSB and an ERSB. Which one should I wrap up for a buddy? Or should I give him both and hope that he shares? I've never had either. Or I could drink them both and just tell him which one was better. I guess that would be wrong?
ratcheer
The third option sounds best to me. :grin:Tim
OscarV
· Hidden Hidden You know I have not seen the ceramic stopper with the wire pull for a while now, you have me wondering if it is still available, those half-liter bottles were perfect.I buy it in 12oz 6pack or 12 pack bottles now. What, he got a Vegas story to tell on you? You picked 2 great ones there. Either one would be a Can't Miss IMO. But take care of your buddies. The good ones aren't easy to replace. So give him at least one. . :toast: JOE
