What bourbon did you purchase today? (Fall '07)

Bought some Knob Creek and some Makers this afternoon. I wanted a bottle of Bookers but the local ABC was out.:smiley_acbt:

WTAS. I've read the mixed reviews, but it was available so (relatively) cheap that I didn't feel right about leaving it on the shelf. It's still pretty easy to get around here, but starting to disappear, slowly.

Went out Christmas shopping for the wife yesterday. Good and bad, the stores were not to bad but I went past a store I thought I'd been to before but I was wrong... (3) WT 12 yr split labels, and a BHC Dickle 10 yr. They had a gold wax Hirsch as well but at $200.00 plus tax I could not pull the trigger.

I also grabbed the Ezera B 12 yr bottled 2003. May open that this weekend.

I've been fortifying the bunker for the holidays.

Last sat., was going to drive to Chicago area to score the Four Roses, but went to local store, and came home with 1 2007 Stagg, 2 Weller Antique, and 1 Rittenhouse Rye BIB.

I didn't purchase it, but a friend managed to "wrangle" it for me. I have been chasing this bottle for 2 years now, and the bird has finally landed.

Tonight I got myself a bottle of Wild Turkey Heritage, traded it for an American Spirit.

Hell yeah!

(2) W.L. Weller SR L'ville bottles

(2) OGD BIB with the green 100 proof tax stamps.

Not a bad drive home tonight.

Had never seen nor heard that know of Evan Williams BiB with a white label. So I HAD to pick it up. I'll crack it open this weekend if not tonight.

I must say I am pretty impressed with the prices I am seeing around St Louis. I saw Blanton's somewhere for right around $35, for that price I may buy a couple just have around. I have a hard time paying ~$50 that it goes for typically in Cali but $35 is a good price! I also saw Pappy15 for $37, needless to say I grabbed the two they had on the shelf.

Strangely enough though, Hancocks was $60 in one place :skep: And all the BMHs I have seen have been way high. Doesn't make sense but oh well.

Good notes Timothy, a lot of subtle things going on there and nothing unpleasant that I could find at all! At that price point, it is a star. I might feel a little silly shipping a $10 bottle of bourbon home, but that is one I'd really like to have around...

The good prices in St Louis continue. I couldn't resist grabbing a Noahs Mill for $39.99, compared to the $60+ it goes for in Cali so I had to try one. I mean shoot at 15 years old and 115+ proof thats a pretty good deal even if it isn't distiller bottled. Also spotted some WTAS for $75.99 which I'll be getting some of before long.

Also grabbed a sixer of some Cherry Stout that wasn't cheap, $13.99 but sounded worth trying!

Oscar, I just purchased one of these myself. Mine was bottled in August '06. Hopefully, I like it but you're not the first here that stated you thought it didn't live up to expectations.

By the way, I found a nice liquor store that carries a real good amount of bourbon. I was hoping to see WTAS but unfortunately I did not. So instead, I purchased the WTKS and a bottle of something I said I probably wouldn't buy again, ORVW 10/107. Go figure.:grin:

Ran out of OGD BIB so I had to replace that, also picked up an 07 GTS and Thomas Handy. I think Oregon only receives a very small allocation of BTAC so I'm glad to get these. OLCC has bumped up the BTAC prices to about $67. No sales tax though ;-)

I may have to do this very thing tomorrow at a nearby store where the last 2 bottles are $90 apiece. The only other store within 50 miles that still has any AHH wants $150 each for their last bottles

Again, I don't get the uneven distribution of this stuff. Several months ago, I was told that AHH was practically gone, so I bought 2 bottles for about $75 (each, of course). I still see it almost all the time at Binny's and Sam's.

The owner of another store in the same town was selling it for $134.95. He also told me when that was gone, the next shippment, which would be the last, would sell for $199.00.
