RedVette
Rob,My company does business in Kuala Lumpur, so I've been there a couple times. It's a great place to visit, but I was surprised at the cost of alcohol. They really tack on the Sin Tax. We always stay at the Reneassaince New World, right near the Petronis Towers. It's a nice place, great pool. TippedWe stayed at the Sunway resort, a dozen miles out of downtown. Nice 4* place, built on the side of a cliff of an old tin mine. At the bottom of the mine is a huge water park. Besides alcohol being expensive, tobacco is as well. The Italian restaurant had a nice list of Cuban Cigars, but I passed when a Cohiba Siglo II went for $35.Tonight Beam Black for free on United. Gillman
I have a vatting of about 10 bourbons (Weller 107, Pappy 15, WR, KC, Beam Black, probably some JD Single Barrel, some EW Single Barrel 1997 and one or two others). While good, I find sometimes if you cut it 50:50 with one bourbon it gets more of a defining taste.I used McKenna Single Barrel.Having felt there are possibilities beyond the commercial examples I've had of bourbon finished in sherry casks, I added a few drops of a 20 year old vintage port I have (the remains of a bottle I keep tightly closed in a pint bottle - it's holding up very well).Swirl it hard, let it rest. Taste. The mouth feel is silky and slightly on the dry side yet with a light winy sweetness. No one could place this as a vatting if they didn't know, it tastes like a high class bourbon with the slightest something "extra".With it I toast Bettye Jo's accomplished daughter who has just graduated college with great honors and her fine family - together they made such an achievement possible.Gary

bigtoys
Rowan's Creek. I'm about 3/4 throught the bottle and trying to finish it off to make some room in the bar for something else; I don't think I'll be replacing it, but it's not bad. Definitely ok for the price. Virus_Of_Life
WTKS original issue pewter top bottled I believe 08-27-96. This bottle has only gotten better the emptier it has gotten and now with only about 1/3 left, I'll say it's probably the best Turkey I've ever enjoyed. It tastes more like Tribute than it does any other Kentucky Spirit I've tasted.

d_nelly78
After a long Army day that started at 0430 I am having Bernheim Wheat. Nice and neat and exceptionally smooth. This bottle is almost gone and it will be replaced. If I can find it here in VA, again. Next I will be having some Old Forreter. I like this pour, good value on sale for $26.99 at the post Class VI. Relax and savor the bourbon.
