Bill, I almost bought a bottle a couple weeks ago Saturday. I was up in Milwaukee and it was on sale at one place for $12.99. Should have done it. Cheapest around here is $22.99. Joe

12.99????????? Wow....

I paid 27.99 on Cape Cod for a stray bottle. The only one I've seen around MA & NH. It didn't last long... a few weeks later it was empty! I really enjoyed it right down to the last drop. BB

When it's in season I always make it a point to save the latest Nip/Tuck episode for Friday, it's probably the best tv show I've ever seen and I want to enjoy it during a night where I don't have another day of work looming overhead. Anyway, it's kind of silly but a season or two ago I had some VWFRR while watching the current episode for that week and since then have insisted on pouring myself a generous bit of VWFRR whenever I watch the latest because any time the show is on I start thinking about it and if there is anything else in the glass I'll sit there wishing it was VWFRR. Anyway, tonight I watch the last episode of the current season and there is just enough in the VWFRR bottle for a nice last pour! :]

edit: While I'm glad another episode was listed on epguides for next week since the last time I checked I'm sad to say the bottle now isn't going to last the whole season like I was hoping it would... oh well...

Finished off a Wild Turkey Rare Breed 1996 tonight...that was a great pour...it won the side-by side of various Wild Turkey products from various years tonight....like Oscar says.....Caramel Apples.

Also killed off AAA 10yr (that one needs to be replaced!) and am on the verge of finishing a Handy tonight...dredged up 3 new bottles from the bunker to replace these fallen heroes!

Finished off a bottle of Old Forester 86° at my dads.

(BTW, I stock dad's cabinet, so no reflection here, one way or the other, on dad. We were celebrating his 89th birthday.)

Emptied a Weller 7/107 tonight. I didn't think I would finish this bottle in a hurry, but FedEX delivered another one yesterday and gave me a reason to empty it. Even if the bastards did charge me $540 in customs duties:smiley_acbt:

I finished my Otto's ERSB 10/90 last night. Well, kinda, The bottle is empty but there's some left in my bowling flask. :bigeyes: Joe

My Longmorn 17 from the distillery will be gone tonight. I'm gonna have to get on a plain and fly to Scotland for another. Oh so sad to see a good friend empty.

Finished my first bottle of Buffalo Trace last night. The last third of the bottle was really quite sweet. If it always tasted like the last third, I would have left the party to refill!

I've never had and may never have the opportunity to taste a centennial for obvious stock and location reasons. Can anybody offer a side by side mouthfeel of a VW10yr100 and a SW Centennial to give me some solace? I know they're different but if the VW10yr100 scores ok against the WC i will feel a little better.

Finished off a bottle of VW10yr100, only have 2 in the bunker so now i will prob go with an easily accessible stock next - EC12yo or Blantons.

Last night shared the last of my first bottle of OFBB. Really the best whiskey I've had so far in my drinking career. So fat, lucious, sweet & spicey. Like a 94 proof mincemeat pie. Just divine. I'm getting a little choked up right now.:cry:

Mr. Lee passed away peacefully this evening. Elmer had served me well and hung on to his last pour until a suitable replacement could be found.

I like the cut of your jib sir! I've been holding off on buying the Bakers since it's easy to get in bars around here but I don't know how many more times I can walk past that sweet wooden box without hauling it up to the counter.

I pulled a Saz. Jr up from the bunker 2 weeks ago and still haven't opened it. Other lesser offerings have kept me distracted.

You are thinking of Booker's, my friend...Baker's is a little cheaper and superior in my opinion.
