SMOWK
Having my very first tasting of VOB BIB. I was able to score a case of this through a local distributor FINALLY. I haven't had more than a few sips, but so far it lives up to all expectations. Which were set pretty high after reading this board and others for a while. I'm glad, because there's 11 more of them. It really resembles OGDBIB on first "glance".Does anybody know more facts? Such as mashbill, grain type, etc?
B3Nut
Fished a bottle of EWSB 1999 (Steve's Wine and Spirits in Madison barrel selection) out of the bunker and am enjoying that in a Glencairn neat. My last bottle of this bottling...looking forward to trying the 2000. TP

nor02lei
Rittenhouse BIB and Handy 2009 before dinner yesterday and EC 12 after. All tasted more or less good but the BIB didn’t really hit the spot as good as the others that particular evening.Leif

smokinjoe
A pour of 1792 over cracked ice. I don't know if it's the Bell's Two Hearted Ale I had earlier that might be influencing things, but I'm getting an extremely potent hit of bubblegum with the 1792 tonight. I've been a fan of the 1792 since my first bottle. It continues to satisfy.

birdman1099
Yeah, mine to but some seem to swear by the 2006.But I think they do because there was a rumor that it was S-W bourbon.Did I just start that argument up again?

birdman1099
I just cracked open a JRPS 17, batch 1.I know I was a bit critical of the JRPS in the past. The previous bottle I had was from batch 6. since I already killed the B6 I can't do side by side, but I am here to tell you that this B1 bottle is better. Dare I say fantastic !!!I actually feel a lot better now. For all this time I thought all you JRPS lovers were "out of you HEAD" !!!!:slappin: Now I get it !!!!

OscarV
Four Roses Single Barrel, neat. This bottle I got a few years ago, I used to stock up on 4R1B when I was in KY because we couldn't buy it here in MI.This particular bottle is from around 2007 and from the LW warehouse.A lot of very good 4R1B's came from the LW warehouse in this time frame, for example the Rutledge 40th Ann release and the McScrooges private bottle. This one that I am sipping on now makes me glad I got it, and there's more where that came from.
jburlowski
A little late posting this:Monday night: my wife's birthday (eighteen again?)Cake and PVW 15 with the neighbors. In the lull after all had left, I tried another pour of JRPS... still don't like it much.
Halifax
Started with Bernheim Wheat. Moved to FR1B. Now enjoying ER 10/90. It's early... No tellin' where this plane will land, but it's a darn good ride so far...

Interestingly enough, it's similar to what I used to get out of the early 4R Single Barrels, after they released them here, stateside. I seldom get it in the 4R now, unfortunately. Well, I'll thoroughly enjoy this $10 liquid Bazooka Joe. No comics, though...
DeanSheen
4R1B after a long hiatus. I just got back from picking it up and stopped at the drug store for a dropper. I'm trying to figure out how many drops to put in a 2oz pour to open it up. This batch is 10, next pour I'll try 5 and see where I'm at. I do love this stuff. nblair
Started off with 1792 at a local bar. It was my first pour of it and will definitely be getting a bottle.Came home and had some ORVW 10/90 that I'm trying to finish off. Call me crazy, but I picked up on some rye aroma. I KNOW it's a wheated bourbon, and chalked it up to drinking the 1792 first. I went over to Bourbon Enthusiast to check out some tasting notes and Buffalo Bill said the same thing in his review! Has anyone else picked up on this?
