OscarV
Been up since 4:30am and 7 cups of coffee in me so I figured it would be nice on this unexpected snow-day off from work to have a nice pour of Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit 2001 in a barndy siftner, neat. p_elliott
Baker's tonight. Probably my least favorite bottle open right now, everything seems muted. I've tried it neat, with a splash of water, and on ice and nothing seems to improve it. Oh well there is always tomorrow night.I won't buy another bottle of of Baker's just doesn't do anything for me.
IowaJeff
I revisited a bottle of knob creek I've had open for awhile. Right bourbon at the right time. Hasn't been one of my favorites in the past, but it really hit the spot. Might motivate me to go get a bottle of the new KC iteration.

White Dog
Lots of snow demands lots of whiskey. In the past 12 hours I've had WT101, VWFRR, Pappy 15, Old Rip 107, EC18, OGD114, and ETL. Yeah, I keep lots of things open in the house.

OscarV
I'm sipping a couple today.First Knob Creek Single Barrel 120prf, I'll be nice and say that the extra alcohol does a good job of burning off the nasty Beam yeast taste. The other one is Four Roses Single Barrel. This is really different then other 4R1B's that I've had.It is loaded with rye peppermint on both the nose and palate, I like it a lot. It's from Warehouse US, Barrel No 10-UN, it's a keeper. T Comp
EC 12 followed by WT Old No. 8 (93). I wanted a touch of the sweeter finish of the WT following the more bitter/sour finish of EC. Both are mighty fine tonight.

Rughi
Last night was a pour of EBSG McKenna BiB. Seems to be getting better the longer the bottle is open....and then it's empty...That bottling has changed more dramatically every few days and weeks after opening than any other I've had. I think it's because it was such a low yield barrel that there are more particles 'n' good stuff in there compared to standard barrels of that age that yield twice as many bottles.Last night, Mrs. Rughi smelled the McKenna in my glass as she walked past and decided to stop and sniff it - then taste it. She said it tasted like a "Manhattan only better" and said it's the first bourbon she thinks she might drink straight. Those low yield barrels - that's where a lot of good stuff is found.Roger
