smokinjoe
Picked up a bottle of Angel's Envy yesterday. My 12 yr. old daughter immediately commented on the beautiful bottle, and wants it when I've emptied it. As I am really, really, enjoying it so far....this will happen sooner, than later. It's particulary interesting at the back of the palate, and in the finish. A well done whiskey.

The fun did me good.BBesides, the 23yo was marked 30% off, I just couldn't pass it up!
bourbon-n00b
A couple days ago, Shoppers Vineyard came into some cases of the 2010 Four Roses LE Small Batch. I got as far as getting 3 in my cart, ended up getting distracted at work and by the time I got back to it, I'd talked myself out of it.Today on the way home, I stopped to grab some beer and what do I see in the bourbon area? Three bottles of the FR LE SmB! And at the same price as SV too...figured it was meant to be and who can argue with fate?

I was trying to describe in the Gazebo while I was chatting with Paul, Andy, Matt, and Gus....I kept getting that grapey finish (obviously from the port). I'm not sure how much I enjoy it yet, but it is very unique. Unlike anything that I've tasted before....would love for it to be a higher proof! jcg9779
So I went out this morning to do a little dusty hunting, and here's what I was able to find: 4 x WT101 12 Yr. Split Label...750ml...101 proof (obviously)...all have 1/16/95 printed on the label...i think this is the bottling date? 3 x Old Crow...375ml...80 proof...UPC 86259 (I think this is ND?)...sealed and tagged 1 x OFBB 2004 1 x OWA 107...can anyone tell me about this different style label? (I'm looking at you, Joe!) It has "04" on the bottom 1 x Old Taylor...1L...80 proof...UPC 86259 (again, ND?)

On the WT 12yr Splits that would be the bottling date...I think they made the CGF bottle until the early 90's then they made the 12yr until the late 90's IIRC. The Crow and Taylor are ND bottles...86259 would be the number! An the OWA would be the older label that is like a parchment paper...04 on the bottle would probably be 2004 stuff...very good...better IMO then what's being bottled today! Crack one of those WT Splits and let it rip...let us know what you think!
