As a WLW 12 and OWA 107 drinker, I've been looking for ORVW 10/107 to try. My son surprised me tonight having locally scored a bottle each of ORVW 10/107 and a VWSR 12-B. ORVW 10/107 was $33.24 and the lot B was $48.99.

Nothing today as I have to order most of the good stuff. I am heading to Minnesota on the 24th for my son's graduation. Four Roses and Buffalo Trace are sold there and I plan to load down my trunk with as many of those I can find and any other bourbons I have to order in New Mexico as I did when I went to Arkansas in March.:cool:

I did not buy, but what was given, a bottle of Kentucky Vintage. I'm looking forward to checking it out, if only for curiosity's sake, especially as there is very little on this site (or elsewhere on the net) about it.

Got a Lot B and an ORVW23 Decanter set. They have 1 more left and I'm considering getting it but not sure yet if I will. I wasn't even sure I would buy this one but it's the only time I've ever seen one at a liquor store so I just did it.

Had on the agenda to get the last two ORVW 10/107 that I've had a eye on for the last week. Sadly, there was just one left. :frown:

So ended up supplementing the purchase with a Pappy 20. :grin:

A PVW20 while visiting my folks in Detroit (thanks Oscar and Tony!)

Also found a Pewter Top Kentucky Spirit from 95. I don't like it's odds to survive the weekend...

The new Blended Bourbon from Jeremiah Weed.

It's very good for $17.00. It tastes fully of bourbon but there is something else going on I think, maybe a bit of tea extract added. Perhaps some GNS too, I'm not sure. It is slightly sweet and with a pleasing flavour, a little spicy. 90 proof, too.

Went to an estate sale and bought a quart bottle of "Cream of Kentucky" bourbon. Don't know anything about it but it was only $5 so I thought so what? The bottle says Straight Kentucky Bourbon WHiskey, 4 years old, 86 proof, Cream of Kentucky Dist. Co. , Frankfort, KY Looks old and is probably nasty but makes a nice display piece.

I have a bottle of this and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you have there once you open it...hopefully it was stored properly...if it was you've got yourself and nice gem there! :cool:

I nabbed the trio of Elijah Craig 12 and 18 and Evan Williams SB 2001 from Shoppers Vinyard. The price was great and I've been meaning to buy those three bottles anyway.

Bonded J.W. Dant in 200 ml, 4 of them. Bases are stamped variously '89, '91, '92. Distilled D.S.P-KY-2, bottled D.S.P- KY-16.

Opened one and was wowed by the big rich caramel/cedar-like flavour, no alcohol burn at all. Classy stuff, the like of which is not made today IMO.

After a few days fruitless searching in the St. Augustine area, I found these in the package liquor store attached to the bar at the ferry landing at the south end of Amelia Island. There were 6 on the shelf, I left two for the brethern. I believe the store is named Barz. The lady at the cash says those are the last 2 she has.
