That gold label HH is good stuff! I'll be picking up more the next time I'm in KY.

Yeah, I like it. A little too drinkable, though.

Bought Eagle Rare 10 as well as a bottle of the stuff that turned me on to whiskey in the first place: Jameson 12 year.

Bought a bottle of EWSB 2001 selected by Tower here in Atlanta. I have no idea if the guy at Tower selects good barrels or not, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Sent my mother over to the Richmond Rd. Liquor Barn on Friday to get a bottle of Angel's Envy, signed in person by Lincoln H. She said they had a nice little conversation about the product and his plans for future bottlings.

It's nice having family in Lexington to run my bourbon errands.

After a few weeks of being extremely busy at work, working on projects around my house and yard, weddings, picnics, bowling practices, etc... I finally had a day to relax. So, this morning my wife asks me if I want to take a short road trip to put a few miles on her new SUV to help break it in a little. :skep: She said that since I hadn't bought any bourbon in a while, we could do a little hunting along the way. Who was I to argue?

1 bottle of BT Single Oak, Barrel #4

1 bottle of 2010 WLW

2 liters of Old Fitz BIB, DSP 16, tax stamps 1980

4 bottles of Cabin Still, faux tax stamps, 1987

2 bottles of Barclay's, faux tax stamps, 1988 & 1989

We stopped at a few places other than liquor stores too. My wife found a couple of things for herself, and a few things for our grand daughter too. All in all it was a nice day. Cheers! Joe

Found a bottle of BMH16, it was pretty expensive but certainly a rarity here. Also snagged a Parkers Wheated and some Midleton Very Rare.

Pretty sure I can't buy anything for another month or so.

A dirty old baseball?

I'm getting worried about you Rob, like me you seem to have to much baseball on the mind.

New wood paneling in the den?

Nope, this old house came with that old paneling.

The correct answer is a bottle of Old Commonwealth 10yo 107prf.

To go along with Julian's other two originals,

Society Of Bourbon Connoisseurs 20yo 112.2prf

and

Twisted Spoke 16yo 105prf

I now have my little trio complete.

All bottled by the Commonwealth Distillery Co Lawrenceburg, KY.

Very nice!

I'd take that for a Monday

Bought my first bottle of Baby Saz -- now just waiting on my Peychauds Aromatic Cocktail Bitters to arrive so I can make me up a real Sazerac cocktail.

Also decided to pick up a bottle of John L. Sullivan -- I'm told it's the bourbon of Irish blended whiskeys....

Well my order from Binny's was delivered today. Got a bottle of JB Devils Cut and a bottle of Early Times 354 bourbon to even out the shipping. Can't get these where I am so I have to order them.

PHC 2010 124.2

I'm addicted to the stuff, what can I say. I need to reorganize the basment to create a bigger bunker.

I'm 13 days late but, due to MD enacting a law on July 1 that added 3% to the sales tax (6%) for alcohol, on Jun 30 I purchased:

1 case - 4R Small Batch

1 case - 4R Single Barrel

1 case - Buffalo Trace

1 case - 10 yr Eagle Rare

1 case - Bulleit

That should hold me until I make my yearly visit to Lexington/Louisville next April. I'm not paying the extra tax to these bunch of crooks in MD.....

I totally agree...PHC 4th Edition is very special stuff. We must pack the bunker while supplies still available.

Thought I was ready to stop buying for awhile, and then along comes one of those periodic Binny's coupons. Picked up some of their Weller Special Reserve to vat with some OWA as recommended elsewhere on this site -- could well turn out to be my house whiskey....

I picked up a bottle of WT Rye yesterday for a decent price. I mainly use the WT Rye for Old Fashioneds, etc.

Was in Dallas on business and stopped at a liquor store before I started my long trip back home and picked up two 1.75's of Weller 12 for $36 each. Picked up a couple Ritten BIB as well. Would have loved to fill my truck up with other stuff but too nervous about driving through 5 states...

You would have been fine. Just obey all the traffic laws and you would have been in like flint. On my last trip to Minnesota I returned with over 48 bottles in my truck.

A guy has to do what a guy has to do. We have to take advantage of deals like that.
