beerfactory
finished the last two ounces of an EC12 bottle this evening. wanted to have a pour of OWA, but in a dazzling display of patience opened the OWA and poured half into the empty EC12. set the 1/2 full bottles into a cupboard for future enjoyment.opened JB black label and enjoyed about an ounce and a half. fishnbowljoe
Bowling night tonight. We bowled okay. Good enough to win 5 out of 7 point from the first place team! :woohoo: They're only 2 points ahead of us now. Of course we had a couple of pours tonight. Whoda thunk it huh? Had some Old Thompson, KC, a private selection OWA, and a private selection Henry McKenna. All in all, a pretty decent night. "Don't get much better than this Vern." :slappin:

dohidied
Started off with a WTKS Pewter top from '96. Not feeling that bottle so far. Thin and sharp are all I get from it. The busted cork might have something to do with that. Now I've moved onto a 1:1 vatting of Devil's Cut and Fighting Cock. Not bad, makes the DC palatable. I really wish I had sent my $15 rebate in on time so that I didn't feel so obligated to drink this DC crap.
bad_scientist
Actually enjoying my Old Fitz Prime 1983. I'm not much of a SW fan, but tonight it's like the soft side of the pillow.
wmpevans
Two-finger pour of FR1B OBSK-TPS is hitting me perfect this Thursday evening. Full-bodied mouthful of flavor topped off with a long kick-ass rye finale which lasts for over a minute. A pour to savor.
Bourbon Boiler
Today I went out to dinner with the wife in Reynolds, Indiana. The only two bourbons available were Makers and Beam White. I ordered the Makers, and the inexperienced waitress brought me back an eight ounce glass filled about 90% of the way. I enjoyed the first 3-4 ounces with a good steak, but pretty much forced the rest down. I'm not a big MM fan, but 7 ounces for $4 works for me at dinner. DaveOfAtl
Second to last pour from a bottle of Lot B. The second half of the bottle has been especially outstanding. Silky caramel. There are times that I think this might be my favorite VW, though I haven't had the 15 yo yet . . . I'm hoping to rectify that in the very near future. JayMonster
I normally don't like to stray over 100 proof on a school night, usually opting for a 90 or 86, but decided after a rough day that some OWA was in order.

BFerguson
Nightcap of some Binny's FR OESV. Not a lot said about this one on the board that I've seen. Freshly opened bottle so it does need some time. But initial impressions are very promising. B
Lazer
I'm enjoying the last 20% or so of my bottle of FR1B and there's white flakes that look like dandruff in the bottom of the bottle, I never saw it before. The whiskey tastes fine but the white flake are freaking me out. Any thoughts? I'm seriously nervous.

Basically, I'm drinking various barrels of the same stuff. The GTS is running a bit hot for me, I was kind of tired of the ER17 (kicked it), and the supremely underwhelming CEHT1B is starting to whelm me a bit. CrispyCritter
I poured a standard shot of '07 Stagg into my Glencairn. It became a mighty healthy pour after diluting it to drinking strength! Just sublime, unmistakably Stagg.I'd guess there are two or three more pours of it remaining, maybe a couple of more if I don't pour a whole shot out. :cry:Next to bat: probably Bulleit Rye.Listening to a SMOKIN' Sam Bush Band live recording.
