michaelturtle1
With all this talk of Weller 12 vs Lot B I headed to NYC to grab a Weller 12, so as soon as I got back home I tried both side by side and blindly gave my wife both. She picked the Lot B and while I liked The Weller just fine, the Lot B was still my favorite.. I will try again in a few weeks when the Weller has had time to breathe and do another blind sampling
nivto
That Bowman rye is one of my favorites as well. Like you, I have been nursing that puppy for a long time. Very sad day when it's empty.Fortunately, I'm pretty sure you have some more in the bunker and I'm going to count on you to continue to have a bottle open at all times for me to drink from when I come over so that I never have to open up any of mine
turtle
PVW 12 and EC 20. The bar had PVW 23, but it was too pricey for me. First time having EC 20. I thought it was almost as good as PVW 20 and 23. Curious what others think about EC 20.

The weird thing is with the open bottle, it's very accessible, but I never reach for it. Same with the open Handy. Must be my OWA and FR kick of late. Crowes
Weller SR, Maker's, and now on to some EWSB 99. Made a trade for a recently found bottle of the 99, I really like it. A little more meat than the 2000 I have, with a great cedar cigar box like finish to it that is really nice. I've only tried the 99, 00, 01, and 02. I really enjoy the 02 but the 99 is very close. And when I have the selection of Four Roses that we have available to us I tend to just gravitate towards those bottles. They're my go-to bourbons unless I'm looking for something else specifically. Phil T
John J Bowman 14 year, TPS barrel #45Fantastic pourIt is a great pour. If was their usual barrel strength AB1B, they would have sold out the first day.But since it's JJB at 100 proof, they still have tons left. I think TPS can drop the 3 bottle max order.

frayed99
Was cleaning out the buffet and found a half-full bottle of Vintage 17 that I'd assumed had taken legs after a party a few months back. No idea who decided that was a good place for it, but, after a rough weekend, it's hitting the spot.
Bourserker
Drinking Booker's for the first time. A little of batch C04-A-28. Not sure what I think of this yet. It's the first pour out of the bottle so I'm sure the next pour will taste different.

jakeox
OWA107. To whoever posted about enjoying this with a single ice cube -- thank you. It tastes totally different after the ice cube, with tons of red fruit and a sweet entry. I wasn't super into this bottle (and it's almost gone), but tonight's pour was great. atfree
I was in a sampling mood tonight. I had small pours of BMH23, VR21, Willett SB 11yr, 2012 WLW, and JPS17.It has been hard not breaking into one of my VW ryes, but I have WAY too many open bottles right now.
