smokinjoe
Or maybe for $46 he will get two bottles of crappy whiskey.I actually found the 4 Wood release to be quite nice. I think Woodford is on the right track with experiments in the Master's Collection with aging/finishing in different woods to round out the sharp edges of their pot still house style. A couple of the most recent years' releases really work for me.
matthewdc
$500?! That is absurd. I can see why you dont have to wonder why the Lot B is on the shelve still.Well, I just saw a bottle of Lot B here in DC for, wait for it... $229.00. This is the most ridiculous price/markup I've seen yet.
squire
Wow, that's cash only in a dark alley pricing.
BillP
Saw a Pappy 23 for $329. I expected it to be in a locked case but it was sitting on the shelf.
squire
Shoot, I remember when Heaven Hill sent their 20+ year old whiskies overseas because they didn't think we would drink that old woody stuff.

MyOldKyDram
Personally I'd pass on all of those save the OGD. And I'm hoping it was a good $10 or so cheaper than 30. That being said, you'll find advocates of all of those around here. Only way to know for sure where ou stand is to start trying.
SFS
May well have been $20 or so. I just don't usually take notice of the price unless it's higher than $30. I only noted the 114 because of the reading I'd done here the night before.
Kalessin
Newb here, so let me know if I should reverse this error(s) when I go back next week to pick up a transferred bottle of EWSB:OGD114 (4 bottles, 2 boxed, 2 not, seemed to be the same bottles) - price was <$30OGD 114 is the same in the box as well as out of it. At nearly all the places I've seen it on the shelf, about half have boxes. I wonder if they come in the case half in boxes and half not (to save on packaging costs...)...
