Finally scored a VWFRR, a tough bottle to find in SoCal.

Also received a FedEx package from Montana containing 2x GTS, 2x Saz18, THH, WLW

Reloaded an OGD 114. Also, picked up a New Holland "Beer Barrel Bourbon", because it sounded interesting and it has a very nice deep mahogany color to it.

Right there with you on the OGD114. I expect you'll post your thoughts on the NH stuff - can't say I expect much, but I'd be happy to be wrong!

The OGD114 had some mighty company with a Pappy15 I won the option to purchase in a lottery, and a FRLESmB '12 offered to me from behind the counter that I couldn't bring myself to pass on.

After seeing so many positive posts for Weller 12 year old, I picked up two bottles at under $30. Also picked up a couple more Weller Antique 107.

Another $34 Blanton's - same price as Elmer T. here.

Such a great deal. Hawaii deserves to have at least some great deals!

I reckon so.

FWIW, I stopped at a place today to pick up a little Xmas present for myself. They had Blanton's for $62. It's nice to see some places that usually get screwed with selection and price, finally come out on the good end for once.

Cheers Maui!

OK bourbon purists, time to avert your eyes! Finished bourbon fans like myself may be interested though. I am one which might be a component of my interest in Irish whiskey more so than scotch.

I must say the Party Source was remarkably efficient. After placing my order for the Angel's Envy Cask Strength on Wednesday afternoon my package arrived today! For FedEx Ground that was pretty quick!

The AECS comes in its very own pine box, perfect for solemn ceremony and burial once the bottle is empty! The hardware on the box is also pretty fancy looking. The bottle appears the same as the basic AE but a different color printing and some adjustment to allow for a little label indicating proof. Comparing the regular with the CS it is clear how much deeper red the color is in the CS to the regular.

I may even try to make a trip up to Louisville for the "Event" if I can make it work with my schedule. Want to get my money's worth!

Also picked up a few other things to include the Bowman TPS Barrel #45 and Ferrand Pineau des Charentes (not bourbon but still lovely stuff!) which I haven't seen locally.

Most of you know that I can be long winded at times. Here I go again. To make a short story long, I've been putting in some long hours at work lately, plus I got my Xmas bonus this week. My wife told me to go ahead and treat myself to a couple of bottles of bourbon I've had my eye on for a long time. (Yes she's a keeper.) After work, I headed to a store near me, and picked up a couple of semi-dusty 1.75's of Old Forester BIB. They've been sitting on the shelf of this store for ages, and I've been contemplating on whether to buy them or not. Yeah, I paid a little bit too much, but what the heck? It's good, I really like it, it's not made anymore, and even though OF Signature is 100 proof, and a pretty decent bourbon, it just ain't the same. After Weller's, my favorites are BIB's. :yum:

Cheers!

For those of you giving me a hard time for passing on the VWFRR a few weeks ago. This is what I was saving the money, AHH gold foil X 2.

Congrats Jared! I would have picked them up myself at the price you found them at.

Picked up a Willett 4 yr old rye today. First Willett for me and looking forward to forming my opinion as it seems to be mixed here on the forum.
