Which market? I ask because on of the stores I frequent just received 2 different bottleings of EC12 as well, but I only bought 1.

G.S. Market on Woodward. Same place? If so which one did you get?

Yep that's it, great place!! I got the 4th barrel, the owner said the 4th barrel yielded much less than the 5th barrel, so he would have the 5th around longer, I figured I would try that one later. Have you tried both?

I haven't tried either. I went with the 5. I asked him if he tasted both and he said he liked the 5th barrel and found it more bold. I'll probably go and grab a 4 as well. Let me know how you like it.

Yeah, I like that place. He's a cool dude. It's right down the street from my office. He hooked me up with bottle of Pappy so he's good by me.

Real cool dude, held a WLW till pay day for me, the only one I really really wanted this year. I was thinking of going back for the other bottle as well as the shop is real close to me. Let me know your thoughts on the 5 and i will do the same on the 4, im interested to see if there is much difference at all...

Josh, he also has some special bottlings of single barrel BT and EWSB 02, just so you know. Those he got in over the summer so his stock is starting to get a little thin. I would guess he still has about twenty or so bottles of both. Just in case either of those float your boat.

Just tasted the 5th barrel of the EC12. Great. I'll follow up with some flavor profiles in the "Drinking" thread.

He said he was also getting a barrel of ER10 for the holiday season. Haven't seen it yet though, bit I think both his BT and EWSB choices are great.

There goes the bourbon budget! Thanks for the heads up guys.

BTW, I live about 10 minutes from that place. If you guys are ever in the area and feeling thirsty, lemme know and I'll open the bunker for you.

I'm about a mile away in RO, so I'm kinda always in the area and generally thirsty....

These Four Roses special editions just keep following me home... today, a pair of 4R Mariage 2009.

I was happy to get them, as I really enjoy this bourbon and they're not easy to find around MA.

Nice stash, I'd love to drink some of those purchases. Did you really buy 111 bottles of Whistlepig, or am I missing something there?

Didn't get any bourbon today but I did secure a couple of bottles of Irish Whiskey (Concannon that someone mentioned recently out of curiosity and the Irishman 70 because I got a hankering for it after mentioning it in another post earlier today) as well as the bottle of VWFRR that was being held for me (One of the C series numbers that has been noted by others).

The VWFRR will get opened on a special occasion! In fact I am thinking this weekend is looking rather special...

The PHC 124.2 should be the 10 year wheated and should say that on the label and it is very special. That's a great pour.

Enjoy.

Uh....bro.....please tell me you're drinking these? That's like, what, $5K+ of booze in 2 months!?!? Who needs 10 GTS from the same year!?!? How'd you even find that many? 8 WLW? 7 PV20?!?!? No wonder some of us can't find any of the good stuff, you have it all!

Crazy.

Hi all,

First post on this great forum. Bourbon has been my "go to" for years but I finally started purchasing a wider array of products and higher end bourbons this year. That led me to this forum which, in turn, further increased my excitement in some of the great bourbons on the market. Which led me to finding a George T. Stagg about two weeks ago that is, hand's down, my all time favorite. So much so that I searched high and wide and have been now secured an additional two bottles, with the last one purchased yesterday for $90. Not cheap by any means, but worth it for me.

Cheers

Are you a restaurant owner?

If not, how long is it going to take you to drink 55/56 bottles of (mostly) high proof alcohol?
