Will also get some tasting notes for the Henry in the thread i started when I can.
jwacky
It's the thought that counts.Indeed, and of course, I was kidding - never expected a full bourbon barrel. She picked it up from a local brewery... I like the addition to the back patio! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RT Fan
Laid in some supplies with the cooler weather upon us, 2 Weller 12's @ $22, 1 Angel's Envy @ $46 & 1 Four Roses Yellow Label @$19. Pretty good for NYC prices, (before tax).

TunnelTiger
Bought 2 more FRYL's today (on sale, couldn't pass them up). It may be low man on the totem pole as far as FR go, but it's a long way from being a bottom shelf bourbon IMO+1 on that. IMHO there are many that are three times the price that don't sip as well as 4RYL!
bjhowell
Obligatory car shot. Picked up two today. Was a very good day!
SLOandSteady
Managed to pickup: Elmer T. Lee (2), Four Roses Small Batch, Larceny, Old Forester Signature and George Dickel No. 12. I haven't had any of these before so I'm pretty excited to try them all out. Really cool thing about the Larceny was that it cost me $33.99 for 1.75L. But even better, there is a $20 rebate for it. Not too shabby if you ask me.

jersey12
Picked up a Smooth Ambler Old Scout 7yr today. I know it doesn't get a lot of love around here but thought I'd give it a go anyhow.

Not too shabby if you ask me.are they doing that again? or did you just get one that still had the old rebate on it....i think they expired in august. the rebates on Larceny made it a steal of a deal, and i thought about loading up on it, but i just didnt like it enough to bother. it brought a 750 down to the price of a HH BIB, but id rather have the BIB.... bigtoys
got the call yesterday from Binny's and chose ER 'cuz Saz 18 was already gone my question is: bottle says 17 yr old, but info sheet says bottled at 19 yrs; it was distilled in '93, so how old is it? almost out of my '06 release, so this is good timing
smknjoe
They probably just didn't want to change the label. Sort of like an OWA with the old label that's really 8 or 9 years old. I'd go by the fact sheet.Edit: The whiskey in the bottle can be older than the age stated on the label, but not younger. Tony Santana
Score! Last night I got an ORVW10, Lot B, Pappy 15 and Pappy 20. Not sure what MSRP is, but I suspect it was all priced there, or very close to it (i.e., more than I'd usually think of spending for a bottle, reasonable in today's world of bourbon given the product). Went home and cracked open the Lot B - ultimately this stuff is for drinking, right? - and thought it was terrific. It even brought a smile to my wife's face, not ordinarily a bourbon drinker, who declared it "smooth".
