Clavius
A single barrel store selection of 1792 Ridgemont Reserve. Haven't had 1792 in a long time, hoping it's good.

nd2005
Finally scored some BTAC. Also brought home some Dickel 14 that caught my eye. That's a damn good day.Sazerac 18 has been exceptionally hard to find this year round these parts. Even some stores that get a decent allocation. One of my local shops got a case of each of the other BTAC, but only one bottle of Saz; another no Saz.
wmpevans
Stopped by my local store today to pick up a bottle of vodka for the wife. The owner called me over to the counter, reached underneath, and said have you ever had one of these? PVW10 & PVW15.Holy cow wasn't looking for them and had no expectations. Since I've never tried before really looking forward to it.Even if they are not my thing they will look nice on the bar.Nice pickup TTiger. :cool:And I predict they will be your thing. Even though over-hyped, damn good bourbon. And the 2013 ORVW-10 is a very nice pour for the $$.

I've had decent luck with GTS and WLW the last few years, but this is the first bottle of Saz I've ever bought. My son is into ryes, so I will crack it open soon so we can have a pour together. luther.r
Finally scored some BTAC. Also brought home some Dickel 14 that caught my eye.I got some of Liquor Barn's 9 and 14, and thought the 14 was worth the premium over the 9. It was more balanced with deeper flavors, more cinnamon and orange peel.Of course, standard single barrel disclaimer...

Wryguy
Another bottle of OFBB2013. Got a nice discount because I brought the manager a growler of some good local brew. Then I headed to another store and as I browsed in the aisle, the owner walked up to me and said, what are you looking for? I pulled down a lone bottle of Boss Hog priced at 69.99, and said this! But I think it's mispriced. His eyes lit up in annoyance, and he said that's supposed to be 149.99. That's what I thought, I said, grinning. He bitched out the manager who must have mispriced it and then he turns to me and repeats his question. I've never gotten BTAC from him in the past, despite being a good customer for a couple years. But the twinkle in his eye made me think I should ask. Decided to start with a favorite and asked about Saz18. He says we didn't get that one, so I said, but you did get some? He grins and says yes, but you can only have 1. I ask for Stagg, he says sure, gives me a discount to boot, I smile and we do our usual thing, go in the back, crack the bottle, and I dole out pours to all the guys on staff. I then proceeded to leave the shop, hit the bar for a cocktail and some Japanese whisky, then to my friends house, where I gifted him the remainder of the bottle of Stagg and we continued drinking. It was a solid day for whiskey.

WsmataU
it's interesting, I saw a 128.6 THH (2011) on the shelf at a store recently and remarked to the owner "looks like you've had that one for a while" and he said he actually got it last month. So, I'm assuming the distributor must have found some left over bottles or something. Were you over in VA? This has happenned to me as well. A few years ago, I was picking up a bottle of ER17 and noticed the other one on the shelf had a different date....it was from 2001. And that was how I lucked into my first release ER17! I asked if they had more bottles like that somewhere else, but he told me that it came from the distributor that week (VA is a control state). So there's no telling what lost cases are sittin in a warehouse somewhere.
