PA dropped it from the shelves last summer. It can be had on SLO in quantities of 6 on Vendor # 8060, item # 63169. It's $29.39 per bottle, but I may put together some money and buy a case in the next few weeks.

In a large local store in ATL today. OGD on the shelf, but at $27; a price jump of $5 :bigeyes:since the last time I was in this store---3 mos. or so ago.

Don't know what to read into that, but I know it's not good.

Recently got two bottles of 114 and two bottles of BIB. Cost a bit to get them over here to Australia but well worth it (Beam sends Basil here only).

Don't know what ya mean. Are you referring to the drool spots on the floor in front of the 114 when it was $21 bottle.?

Just panicked a bit and picked up a bottle of OGD114.

I would imagine nothing is going to change about OGD114 but the price. Everyone agrees it is underpriced currently.

I made that very argument in a winded and pointless Facebook post the other day. Just doesn't seem to make sense why Beam would drop a well-respected product that has been around forever rather than just increase the price $5. I don't know whether the trend is for new labels to attract new customers, but I am not sure I have bought a single bottle of any label that has been introduced in the last 10 years (other than the LE Four Roses products). For me, if Beam dropped OGD114 there is no way I'd buy whatever crap they replaced it with.

The "bunny" has the best price I've seen on 114. I should probably grab a couple before the price goes up.

Yeah, the main Dallas store and Total Wine (do you have those in H-town yet?) have it at $17.99 right now. The other suburb stores have OGD114 more like $22 for some reason...

I'll just say this, and take it for what it's worth...I opened a newly purchased bottle of OGD114 a couple of weeks ago, and it does not resemble the whiskey that I am accustomed to with this brand. Totally missing that yummy "burnt corner of the brownie pan" taste that I love. This flavor profile has always been a huge signal to me in identifying OGD, so much so, that I would say that it would be one of the 2 or 3 bourbons that I think I could get in a total blind tasting. This bottle has none of it. Instead, it has been youngish and extremely grassy. It's not "bad", it's just not the same. But, I am extremely disappointed, and hope it's just one of those weird things that happens in whiskey-making, from time to time.

This isn't meant to support anything stated in this thread. Just, sayin'...

Here in Tallahassee, I've seen it from $26.00 to $29.99, in the past year.

Im always amazed it is NOT $30. It's basically a NAS barrel proofer at $21. I might have 2 bottles of it a year, and Id still buy it at a more realistic price, as there's not really anything out there that compares to it's profile when that's what you want.

Joe, I also get the same flavors from my bottle and it also has 12 stamped on the bottom. I like a grassy profile ok in other selections but i'm not in love with it in this OGD114 bottle. Unfortunately, I bought 4 bottles of these at the same time while traveling on business. So, I'll have to live with it. I might have to try to get a newer bottling the next time i'm traveling and do a sbs.

I've stated it in another thread before, and will co-sign it with Joe & hn4bourbon here - this whiskey has, without a doubt, done a complete profile change in the last year or so. I would venture that some of the regular Beam mashbill has been blended in. It's not awful, but it's not the OGD114 we know and love. I would try one before you empty the shelves.

It's interesting to see how opinions differ. There was a thread about this time last year where everyone thought the profile of the 2012 vintage was much better than past versions.

I have a 12 open currently. Tastes fine to me.

Ditto, plus one unopened in the basement. Certainly no regrets at $18 per.

My almost empty bottle has this on the bottom:

42 [anchor symbol] 11

10

DPA 591

My other bottle says:

42 [anchor symbol] 09

2

DPA 591

Are they 2011 and 2009?
