OGD 114 Being Discontinued? (Rumor)

I'm so upset by you sharing that post that it has driven me to drink! HaHa...no permission required! This is a public forum. The gentleman that runs the Facebook fanpage is putting a lot more faith in that email than I would. Sounds like a stock answer copy and pasted by a customer service specialist sitting in a cubicle. I'm hoping it's true. I think one possibility is that they were intending to drop it, which is why they didn't update the packaging along with the other two expressions. Now that they've seen it become "hipster cool" they've decided to keep it and update it's packaging as well. That would explain why it has quit shipping while the new SKU is being prepped for release?? Total theory on my part.

As if there seems no end to how far Beam will go, certain people in some corners are hearing that B-S is involved in an elaborate mind control scheme that is driving people to go forgetful and drink only OGD!!

I was out searching this morning and found two bottles of OGD that I suspected to be ND juice.  I politely asked the lady behind the bullet proof glass to grab one so I can take a look, this is where the stupidity ensues.  They were locked in a case above the glass that wrapped the counter with miscellaneous cheap bottles of brandy and cognac.  She says that she can't get them because the lock is on my side of the glass....hmmmm ok.  "So who can sell them to me?  I'll come back."  She then says they aren't for sale and starts lecturing me about how the whole OGD line has been discontinued.  On to the next store....

This summer I found what I thought would be one of my ultimate dusty scores. A whole 12 case of old school Russell's Reserve. I asked them to price it, I'd take the whole thing. They said they couldn't price it. I went back no less than 7 times, 3h round trip drive each time - calls were useless, they didn't answer the phone. It went on for weeks. Finally they told me they wouldn't be for sale. I expect someone's kid eventually found out they could sell them on the internet.

If that was the plan, we'd have already seen their new labels via the TTB website. I think the reality is that they were thinking about discontinuing it but have simply changed their minds.

I second that. I bought 10. I guarantee IF they come back, they're not going to be any cheaper.
