Marekv8
Tastes more like one of the Woodford trick bottles than the core JD distillate— interesting stuff. Odd that it was bottled at 40%, but doesn’t suffer too bad from it. Perfect pour with dinner to get the evening underway.

I’ve been thinking about picking that one up, but the price, 40% abv, and not having tasted or heard much about it have kept me from doing it...maybe I’ll have to reconsider.

I’ll try to post some real notes tomorrow, but at first pass it seems that there are dozens of more intriguing options at its C-note price point.
beasled
Been enjoying a few hours of Bernheim this evening. Don't see this mentioned much but it's pretty damn good!

Bernheim features on balmy evenings although those bottom shelf 80 proofers right out of the freezer compete for attention. IOW, thanks for the nudge as it's almost time to dig my Bernheims out of the back of the shelf.

Will be coming back to this over the summer!
hollywood
JDSiB Select to start the evening.. I’ve always enjoyed JD in general over the years finding it “versatile”. Although I enjoy the popular bourbons most here seek and desire I find this one rates up there with most out there currently.. I’ve never found the banana note that some speak of and find more licorice and chocolate cherries on the finish.. Just me I guess.. No JD beef here!

LCWoody
A very good pour of Balcones TB BP. This is the best whiskey/bourbon that I’ve had that’s come out of Texas. I may have to pick up another.

BDanner
Picked up a bottle of Bernheim Wheat Whiskey the other day. I forgot how much I enjoy it.
jwperry
Tonight is my Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof / Single Barrel 1:1 mixture. Lowers the proof to an easier to process level and still retains the great flavors of the single barrel products.
BDanner
Just picked up this Westland American Single Malt this week. Very good, and a steal on closeout at $38.

hollywood
An xtra large pour of JDSiB select SP. This is from 1 of 2 bottles that I picked up mispriced at $24.99 each while on vacay a month or so back.. For some reason it tastes even better, lol.

Was good but very mellow. I would agree that at a C note, there are better options. Still good for an occasional pour though!!
Marekv8
Bootlegged Dickel 14 PS at the airport restaurant, replacing the previous contents. The new BIB is good, but this is Tullahoma’s finest hour.
